Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.
As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.
I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!
I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.
I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.
Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.
I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!
Hope to hear from you soon.

“A Wonderful Tour of Asakusa”
My husband and I enjoyed a walking tour of Asakusa with Ritsuko. She was very sensitive to my needs since I have some mobility challenges. We walked and saw the beautiful Sakura by the river. Then we went to Sensoji Temple and of course, did some shopping on Nakamise Street and Kappabashi Street. Ritsuko was very helpful showing me shops that carried the souvenirs I wanted to buy. We enjoyed a Japanese lunch together while Ritsuko explained the foods, preparation and types of cooking styles. I highly recommend a tour with Ritsuko. It’s important to note that she spoke excellent English and explained all topics thoroughly. Thank you Ritsuko!

Hi Janet, Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I apologize for making you walk so much that even your smartwatch told you to stop! I may have been too eager to show you two as many as possible. I truly appreciate your patience and kindness throughout the day. Also, thank you again for the book. I started reading it on the subway ride home and learned much about the new tournament format and the main stadium—such a personal and meaningful gift to me! I hope the rest of your stay in Japan is filled with many delicious foods, meaningful discoveries, and beautiful memories. Please take good care of yourselves and stay well. All the best.

“An Exceptional Experience ”
Whilst I am requested to review my day with Ritsuko it would do her a disservice. Her assistance in planning not only my day with her but more importantly my whole six day visit to Tokyo was a truly exceptional experience. The knowledge, passion and patience Ritsuko shared with me was phenomenal. And I don’t use these words lightly. Having travelled the world for nearly 60 years, I have never had a travel experience such as this. If you don’t seek her advice and assistance, it is you who will have missed out on sharing some time and learning not only about Tokyo but Japan too, from her.
Ritsuko K.
Hi Andrew, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review, especially during your travels. I wasn't sure if my explanations would be enough for you, as you already have a deep understanding of Japan, including its philosophies and cultures. So, I’m so grateful for your generous feedback. I hope you continue to enjoy your time in Japan until the very last day. Have a safe journey home, and I would be happy to welcome you in the future! All the best.
