“Could not ask for a better guide”
Ritsuko was the perfect person to take my mom & i for a day hike around Tokyo. This was essentially our first time in Japan. She gave us a great introduction to not only specific locations like temples, shrines, & gardens…but she gave us deeper insight & history into these locations, as well as how these places tied into Japanese history & culture overall. As a big fan of history, i had a great day. We both did. Thank you Ritsuko! We will never forget our day traipsing around Tokyo with you!

Hi Chase, Thank you so much for your kind message. I truly enjoyed spending the day with you and your mom. When she told me that you had planned trips to lift her spirits, I was deeply moved and felt honored to be part of the special journey together. It was wonderful to share not only Tokyo’s famous landmarks but also some of my favorite places. I hope your upcoming travels to Nikko and Kyoto bring you both many more discoveries regarding history and unforgettable memories. All the best!

“Excellent and flexible guide in Tokyo”
Ritsuko was everything we hoped for In a guide for our first day in Tokyo. Her English was top class and her knowledge and enthusiasm for the city was excellent. We walked all day around the city, connected by frequent subway connections, and not only saw a range of popular sights ranging from famous temples and shrines to mini- pig cuddling in Takeshita Street, but benefited from her ability to give cultural and historical context to what we were seeing. She was also able to set us up with tips and good advice for our next day’s adventures. We highly recommend her.

Hi Roy and Carolyn, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Even though you had arrived late the night before, you still walked so much during our tour, which allowed me to share many different sides of Tokyo with you, including the charming traditional area near your hotel. By now, I imagine you’re enjoying your cruise, discovering more of Japan’s beauty and regional dishes. I wish you many more memorable moments on the rest of your journey. All the best!

“Lovely guide to have for the day ”
Ritsuko was a caring and attentive guide, taking time from the outset to understand what we specifically wanted to get out of our accompanied day in Tokyo. She navigated us well to some interesting and varied places which highlighted different elements of Japanese culture. It was like walking round with a friend.

Hi Charles & Rosie, Thank you so much for your heartwarming review. My ideal style of guiding is to make guests feel as if they are exploring Tokyo with a local friend, so I’m delighted to hear you felt that way. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing Tokyo’s many sides, and I hope you’ve also had time to visit the shops and galleries I marked for you during the tour. Tokyo still has many more fascinating places I’d love to introduce someday, so please come back again!
