Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.
As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.
I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!
I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.
I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.
Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.
I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!
Hope to hear from you soon.

“A great intro tour of the major highlights of Tokyo”
Despite the unexpected summer heat on the day of our tour, we really enjoyed our time with Ritsuko. It was tough to do all the walking in 95 degree heat. But we made stops along the way to take in some AC. She is very kind. I was very happy that she brought us to couple places and stores that my kids really enjoyed and were excited about. I would tour again with her. Thank you Ritsuko!

Hi Shawna, Thank you so much for your kind review. Despite the jet lag and the unexpected summer heat, hard to believe it was only mid-June, I truly appreciated how willing your family was to walk and explore. Thanks for that, I was able to guide you through some of Tokyo’s major highlights, especially those focused on shopping. I hope the tour helped set the stage for the rest of your stay in Tokyo. Wishing you all the best!

“Little bit of everything ”
Definitely knows her way around town, subways and the best shopping places. Anything and everything you are looking for. Ended our day with a beautiful stop at a Japanese garden, inside the New Ohtani Hotel. Thank you for everything, so nice meeting you.

Hi Kristy, Thank you so much for your kind review. Despite the summer heat during the rainy season, I truly appreciated how much walking you did. I was also happy to share some of my favorite shops and the beautiful Japanese garden with you. Tokyo has so many more charming places to explore. I hope you’ll return someday, and I’d love to guide your family too. Wishing you a safe journey back!

“Personalized Tour of Tokyo”
I worked with Ritsuko to craft a one day tour of some highlights of Tokyo as well as some hidden gems. Ritsuko guided us to some major temples and shrines as well as some hidden gardens. Ritsuko also picked the most perfect place for lunch on the fly based on some requests from our group. Her knowledge of Tokyo is spectacular. Ritsuko is kind, friendly, and her communications were prompt and right on point. Ritsuko is an exceptional guide and I would highly recommend that you tour with Ritsuko if you have the chance.

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for your lovely review. It truly means a lot to me. Since I don’t often guide large groups, I’m sure there were areas where I could have done better. But from the very moment you found me on the second floor of your Airbnb, you helped me in many ways throughout the day, and I’m truly grateful for that. I also really enjoyed chatting with your sons about soccer. It was such a fun and memorable part of the tour for me. As for lunch, I’m so glad everyone patiently endured the traditional seating, which allowed us to enjoy a truly authentic tonkatsu restaurant. I hope the memories from Tokyo will stay with you for a long time, and our paths cross again someday. All the best!
