Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.

As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.

I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!

I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.

I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.

Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.

I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!

Reviews

What a wonderful day in Tokyo

Ritsuko was an amazing tour guide. Our group of 4 had an outstanding time with her during our one-day tour of Tokyo. She was very kind in helping us navigate the train stations. The visits to Seno-ji Temple and Meiji Shrine were awe-inspiring. Ritsuko also took us to Kitchen Street, where we were able to purchase knives and chopsticks from wonderful local shops. Ending with a stop at Shibuya Crossing, our trip gave our group a real sense of why Tokyo is one of the world's most amazing cities. Ritsuko could not have been more kind, knowledgeable and conversant. I would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tokyo. We wish her safe travels to North America for the World Cup!

Hi Jason and everyone, Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. Considering that it was your first full day in Japan, I was impressed by how much ground your group covered. Thanks to your enthusiasm, we were able to visit not only Senso-ji Temple, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya Crossing, but also explore places such as Kappabashi and Ura-Harajuku. It was MY pleasure to be part of a trip that had been a long-time dream for you. Thank you as well for your kind wishes regarding the World Cup. Your trip is only just beginning, and I hope the days ahead are as memorable as your first full day in Tokyo. All the best!

Outstanding guide

Highly Recommend Ritsuko! We had an amazing experience with Ritsuko during our time in Tokyo. She truly went above and beyond in every way. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its culture, and history, but she also tailored the day to our interests and showed us some of the best vintage shopping spots and local shopping districts that we would never have found on our own. What impressed us most was her kindness and attentiveness. She generously took photos for our family throughout the day so we could enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment. She also kept an eye on our children and made sure everyone was comfortable and accounted for, which was far beyond what we expected from a guide. Ritsuko was professional, patient, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best possible experience in Tokyo. Her recommendations were excellent, her energy was wonderful, and she made our trip both enjoyable and stress-free. If you’re visiting Tokyo and want a guide who truly cares about her guests and goes the extra mile, we wholeheartedly recommend Ritsuko. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories for our family! ️

Hi Sadaf and Girls, Thank you very much for your thoughtful review, and thank you as well for the two wonderful days we spent together. Despite the unusually hot weather for May, we managed to fit in quite a lot between the Ghibli Museum and teamLab Borderless. From Don Quijote to vintage shops and countless stores in between, we spent so much time exploring that we almost ran out of time for lunch! In the end, I was delighted that each of you found something special to take home from Tokyo. I imagine you are now enjoying a different side of Japan in Kyoto, with its temples, shrines, and traditional atmosphere. Hope you also do your best for your final shopping in Ginza before heading home. All the best!
