Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.
As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.
I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!
I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.
I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.
Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.
I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!
Hope to hear from you soon.

“Great Introduction to Tokyo”
Ritsuko was a wonderful guide who gave us an excellent introduction to Tokyo. She provided a fascinating overview of the city and its history, with a special focus on architecture and design that perfectly matched our interests. Her knowledge and passion made everything come alive, from historic temples to striking modern buildings. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch together, and throughout the day she was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and tuned in to our needs. Thanks to Ritsuko, we left with a deeper appreciation of Tokyo and its culture.

Dear Hope, Thank you so much for your heartwarming review. I truly enjoyed spending the day with you and Rickey. Since your interests and tastes were so similar to mine, I was delighted that you enjoyed the soba restaurant and the craft shop I love. We walked quite a lot that day, so I completely understand that Rickey decided to head back to the hotel by taxi. I really appreciate how you continued exploring afterward with such enthusiasm. I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour and felt the charm of Tokyo. I believe you’ve discovered even more wonderful art and architecture during the rest of your trip. There are still so many places I’d love to show you, so I hope you’ll come back to Tokyo again someday!

“Excellent guide and lovely person”
Ritsuko showed me and my husband around Tokyo for a day. We packed a lot into our time together. We saw temples, shrines, several interesting neighborhoods, had a nice lunch together and even did a little shopping. Ritsuko shared her knowledge and couldn't have been nicer.

Hi Marcie and Jay, Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure guiding you both, especially on your very first day in Japan. Because you approached the tour with such energy and curiosity, I was able to show you many different sides of Tokyo in a short time. I hope the sumo-related activities you were interested in also worked out and added even more memorable moments to your trip. Please come back someday because there is still so much more I would love to share with you!

“A great day in Tokyo and introduction to Japan ”
Ritsuko could not have been more caring and helpful in guiding our group of 5 for the day around Tokyo. One member of the group was on crutches and Ritsuko found elevators in the subway and wheelchairs in the parks so we could all enjoy Tokyo together. Ritsuko was well informed and generous in answering the many questions we asked about what we were seeing and about her life in Japan. It was our first day in Japan and the perfect start to our holiday. We could not recommend Ritsuko more highly. She was great! Sue, Karen, Libby, Janie and Sally

Hi Sue, Karen, Libby, Janie, and Sally, Thank you for your lovely message. I hope Karen’s leg is feeling at least a little better by now. Although the day started with a few challenges, it truly felt like I was part of your wonderful friends’ trip and had a great time with all of you! I also learned something new myself: wheelchairs are available at both the Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine, which will be helpful for future tours. Tokyo has finally started to feel like autumn, and I hope you’ll come back again someday when everyone is in perfect shape to enjoy it even more. Until then, all the best!
