About Tour Guide Ritsuko K.

Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.

As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.

I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!

I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.

I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.

Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.

I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!

Hope to hear from you soon.

We highly recommend Ritsuko! We had such a great experience! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to, and her English was perfect. She was also super flexible and adaptive with our plans, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. She was helpful, fun to be around, and made the whole tour really enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend her!

Hi Irina and Mike, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I truly had a wonderful time with both of you as well. One of the best things about a private tour is changing the itinerary on the day, and I’m so glad we could do that together. It was a pleasure to introduce you not only to Japan's history and culture but also to those local spots that you both love so much. There are still many hidden gems in Tokyo, so please come back and visit again in a different season. Till then, all the best!

4 days exploring Tokyo with Ritsuko

We spent four wonderful guided tour days in Tokyo with Ritsuko. Without her we would have been lost. She is genuinely warm, engaging, and thoughtful. What set Ritsuko apart was how she tailored the experience to our specific interests. She went above and beyond to help us find a Japanese national football team jersey for our son and even took my husband to see the statue of a Japanese rugby national treasure (Michael Leitch), which was a huge hit! Navigating Tokyo’s crowded subway stations can be overwhelming, but Ritsuko made it look easy, guiding us through the chaos with total confidence and organization. She is very knowledgeable and a clear communicator. We will surely return to Tokyo and look forward to meeting up with her again. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

John S.

Ritsuko K.

Hi John and Donna, Thank you so much for your wonderful and heartwarming review! I truly had a fantastic time with both of you, from the tea ceremony in Asakusa to bird watching by the beach in Kamakura. By the way, John, I was able to explain about the eagles you taught me to another guest in Kamakura last week—thank you for the lesson. The photo of John looking so cool next to the Michael Leitch statue always makes me smile, and I can easily imagine Donna making her friend jealous with the new coat. I will make sure to find another great Teppanyaki restaurant for your next visit. Please do come back to Tokyo soon—I look forward to our next adventure together.
