The Perfect Guide for Our First Trip to Tokyo!

Ritsuko was absolutely AMAZING! We booked her for our very first full day in Tokyo, and I’m so glad we did. She was incredibly knowledgeable, gracious, flexible, and accommodating, and she made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. What I appreciated most was that she didn’t just show us Tokyo—she helped us understand how to navigate it! She taught us how to use the trains, answered all of our questions, shared helpful cultural tips, and truly helped us get acclimated. Because of our day with Ritsuko, we felt so much more confident exploring Tokyo on our own for the rest of our trip. She adjusted the day to our interests, never made us feel rushed, and was simply a joy to spend the day with. If this is your first trip to Tokyo, BOOK RITSUKO! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She truly helped make our first day—and the rest of our Tokyo adventure—so much better!

Hi Saratta, thank you so much for your wonderful review and for sharing the lovely photo. It turned out to be much hotter than we expected, so unfortunately we couldn't make it to Nakameguro. Even so, I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and, most of all, that our day together helped you feel more confident during the rest of your time in Tokyo. I also hope you could find the souvenirs you were looking for on your final day! Please come back to Tokyo and Japan again in a different season someday. I would be very happy to see you both again. Have a safe trip home!

From First Steps in Tokyo to a Perfect First Day

This half-day tour with Ritsuko was exactly what we needed at the beginning of our trip! She met us at our hotel and started with an incredibly useful Tokyo Station orientation, showing us how to navigate the station and prepare for our upcoming Shinkansen journey. That alone saved us so much confusion later! From there, she brought the history and traditions of Meiji Shrine to life before taking us into the colour and energy of Harajuku. We finished with a fun conveyor-belt sushi lunch that everyone loved. Practical, fascinating and beautifully paced, this tour gave us both a memorable morning and the confidence to explore Tokyo. Ritsuko was warm, knowledgeable and wonderfully flexible throughout. An exceptional guide and the perfect introduction to the city. Thank you Ritsuko!!

Hi Aisha, Ellie, and Arleen, Thank you so much for taking the time, especially during your trip, to write not one but two such warm and thoughtful reviews. It means a lot to me! From the moment we first met at your hotel, I also felt that we connected naturally. We discovered that we had similar tastes, including some of the same favorite movies, and I also really enjoyed learning about Bermuda from you. Looking back, I think splitting the tours into morning and evening was definitely the right decision, especially in the summer heat. We also had that sudden rain, and since it was your first full day after such a long journey, I’m sorry that by the end of the day it became a little too much for Arleen. Even so, I’m truly happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with me and that what we did together helped you feel more confident during the rest of your stay in Japan. Thank you from my heart for choosing me as your guide for a trip to Japan that you had dreamed about for so many years. It was MY pleasure to be a small part of that journey. I also hope our paths will cross again someday. Till then, all the best!

The Only Tokyo Guide You Need

Stop searching and book Ritsuko. She is the guide you hope to find in Tokyo. We arranged two customized experiences with her, and from the moment she greeted us so warmly at our hotel, we knew we were in excellent hands. Ritsuko is incredibly knowledgeable, prepared and attentive. She manages every detail without making the day feel managed. Everything flows. She gave us an invaluable orientation at Tokyo Station, showing us exactly how to navigate it and prepare for our upcoming Shinkansen journey. That practical guidance gave us genuine confidence for the rest of our trip. From there, she brought Tokyo to life at Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Kiddy Land, sharing history, customs and thoughtful details we would never have discovered alone. That evening, we experienced the energy of Shibuya Crossing before enjoying a lovely dinner at Disney Harvest Market. It was a beautifully planned day, with the perfect balance of culture, practical guidance, fun and flexibility. Ritsuko’s experience truly sets her apart. We were still jet-lagged and travelling with a young child, yet she remained endlessly patient, understanding and adaptable. She knew when to explain, when to adjust and when to simply let us enjoy the moment. She made everything feel easy. Beyond being an exceptional guide, Ritsuko is warm, personable and genuinely delightful to spend time with. By the end of our tours, it felt as though we were saying goodbye to a new friend. From your new friends in Bermuda, thank you, Ritsuko!!! We hope our paths meet again. We recommend her without hesitation. If you want to experience Tokyo with confidence, meaning and joy, she is the guide to book.
