Even if a date cannot be selected on the calendar, I may still be able to offer cherry blossom viewing tours with a professional photographer (very popular!) , short night tours, bar-hopping tours, or maid cafe tours. If you are interested in any of these, please feel free to send me a message. During the tour, I can also give travel advice and help you plan for other days of your trip, so it can be a very valuable experience.

【Biography】

Hi! I’m a nationally licensed tour guide with in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and geography.

I was born in a suburb and raised in Tokyo, which gives me both a local and metropolitan perspective on Japan.

I studied abroad in the United States and the United Kingdom, where I met wonderful people from all over the world and developed a truly global mindset.

Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked as an IT engineer, hotel receptionist, and manager of a maid cafe—experiences that help me connect naturally with travelers from many different backgrounds.

Tokyo Done Right!

We had an incredible experience with Melody! He was so accommodating to what we wanted to do and helped us see things we probably wouldn’t have done and were thankful we did! He was so polite and courteous! We appreciated the immense knowledge he had about whatever part of the city we went to! He also was extremely helpful finding a perfect Godzilla for our son and knowing where the Chicawa pop us ships were to get souvenirs for my daughter! His English was great and loved the time we spent with Melody! He also was a great photographer!

Akihabara Intro to Manga, Aname and Maid Cafes

Lovely to spend time with a local of the area - who also has an interest in art - to develop some appreciation for the sub-culture of the area. Melody also introduced us to interesting food - with great tips for more dishes to try on our trip.

Great visit in Tokyo with Melody

We spent a couple of days in Tokyo with Melody and overall it was great. First day we exaggerated a little bit with the schedule seeing and visiting more sights than initially planned. Melody was very accommodating adjusting the schedule. He also helped us get the JR pass for the rest of the time in Japan. He found a great restaurant for my wife’s FODMAP food sensitivity, tasting 100% buckwheat soba noodles. He was professional, kind and funny. He made our first stay in Japan a truly pleasant experience. He even advised us on a couple of options for visiting Hakone and Yokohama. Overall one of the best guides we had in recent years. Bobo

Borut, thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed your time in Tokyo with me. I’m glad we were able to adjust it smoothly and make the most of your time. It was my pleasure to help with the JR Pass and to find a restaurant that worked well for your wife’s FODMAP needs. I'm especially glad you could enjoy the 100% buckwheat soba together. The walnut dipping sauce was really delicious! I also enjoyed sharing ideas for Hakone and Yokohama—my national guide license and experience allow me to cover destinations all across Japan—and I hope those parts of your trip turned out just as memorable. It was a pleasure meeting you all, and I hope we’ll have the chance to explore more of Japan together in the future!
