Hello! Welcome to my page and hopefully soon, Akihabara!
I’ｍ a government licensed tour guide with profound knowledge of Japanese culture, history and geography. I was born in a suburb area and grew up in Tokyo. I studied abroad in the US and UK, and met great people from all over the world. I was an IT engineer and a manager of a maid cafe in Akihabara.
Although I know many spots in Tokyo, Akihabara, the very special Otaku mecca, is my home. I lived in Akihabara nearly 10 years to become a genuine Otaku!

Let’s go to popular maid cafe in Akihabara. You don’t need to be shy! I’ll help you talk to maids with my experience as a maid cafe manager. And if you are lucky, you can see their dancing and singing performances. Other than the maid cafe, I can take you to the best Otaku places that fit your interests!
Maid Cafe Tour by Former Maid Cafe Manager
The first maid cafe was started in Akihabara. Nowadays, there are around 200 maid cafes alone in Akihabara. Maids will welcome guests of all genders, generations, and nationalities, but some have difficulties in English communication. No problem. I can help you talk to them! The good news is that I was a manager at one of the largest maid cafe chains and led 40 maids. Other Otaku activities are also included in the tour. Hopefully, all anime, pop idol and gadget Otaku can enjoy the tour!
Akihabara Maid Cafe Dinner Tour
In Akihabara, you can see hundreds of maids promoting their cafes on the maid street. However, sometimes it’s hard for the tourists to find good ones. Nervous about visiting maid cafe?! Don’t worry! “Best Experience with Guide Melody”
Arriving in Tokyo can be daunting no matter how much you try to prepare. We feel it was absolutely amazing to get a head start on our Tokyo experience with professional guide Melody S. He is super attentive, empathetic, enthusiastic, friendly and easy going as well as highly knowledgeable in all aspects of Japanese culture and able to converse in depth on any topic. Prior to our arrival in Japan we communicated and expressed our interests and having a teenager along, special interests there too. Melody put together a fun day, carefully noting our interests, and we experienced things we had no idea existed. The tour was reasonably priced and worth every penny! We covered parts of the Harajuku area. Today we did TeamPlanet Tokyo on our own. We have another appointment with Melody for another part of town tomorrow. Can’t wait!

“Tour of Akihabara including Maid Cafe”
My friends and I had a tour arranged by Melody around Akihabara including a visit to a maid cafe. Melody was very friendly and knowledgeable and before the tour offered to tailor the tour to our interests. We asked to include a nearby shrine which Melody was happy to incorporate. As well as telling us about the history of the area and answering all our questions, Melody also took us to places we would not have otherwise come across on our own (such as a traditional tea house) which really shows the value of using a local guide. The maid cafe was the highlight and definately helped by having Melody along to explain the goings on and help us navigate which allowed us to enjoy it more. We had a great fun afternoon with Melody and would definately recommend to others
