Hello, I'm Yoko. I was born and brought up in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture (80 km north from Tokyo) and I've lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years.
I love traveling, both overseas and inside Japan. After I visited other countries and saw many local cultures there, I realized that Japan has a variety of unique cultures with a lot of tourist attractions.

One day Tokyo tour- customized for you
There are a lot of attractive sites in Tokyo, the biggest city in Japan. I'll arrange the tour based on your preference and thoughts. If you come to Tokyo for the first time, I'd recommend you to visit highlights, such as Sensoji temple and Meiji Jingu shrine and modern area like Shibuya or Harajuku. One day trip to Kamakura
Kamakura is a very popular tourist destination and has a lot of beautiful places such as Buddhist temples with gardens, and Shinto shrines. The city has a lot of Japanese restaurants which offer lovely dishes. We’ll visit some of the most popular spots in Kamakura, such as Hokoku-ji temple (with a bamboo garden), Hase-dera temple (one of the oldest temples in Kamakura), and Kotoku-in temple which is well known for the Great Buddha. One day trip to Ashikaga - Ashikaga Flower Park
Ashikaga is located 80km north From Tokyo. The city has a lovely atmosphere with a lot of tourist attractions for relaxing. We'll explore the city of Ashikaga, such as visiting Ashikaga Gakko and Bannaji temple where you can see history and traditional culture. After lunch, we'll go to Ashikaga Flower Park which has a lot of beautiful flowers. The park is especially beautiful in wisteria season. Let's enjoy magnificent view of wisteria in the park!
Half day tour - Japanese garden and Asakusa
On this tour, you can enjoy some attractions of Tokyo. We'll enjoy strolling one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens in Tokyo (Hamarikyu Gardens), then we'll go to Sensoji temple in Asakusa, one of the most must-see places in Tokyo.
Traditional Tokyo - Shrine and Japanese garden
On this tour, you can enjoy "Traditional Tokyo". We'll visit the most popular Shinto shrine in Tokyo (Meiji shrine), and one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens in Tokyo (Rikugien Gardens or Hamarikyu Gardens). We'll finish our tour at wherever you like.

“A truly great tour”
It was cloudy and threatened to rain, but we had the best time. It was the last full day of our trip so we were getting pretty tired but Yoko matched our pace perfectly. She checked with us to see what we didn't want to miss and customized the tour on the fly. We were able to see the bamboo grove at Hokokuji Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, and the one place i didn't want to miss, Kotoku-in. I hadn't been to Kamakura since I was a small child so it was nostalgic. We enjoyed a lunch of the local specialty of soba with the best tempura ever in a small little spot that seemed to be filled with locals. We followed that with a walk down Komachi-dori street for a little shopping. Though the rain finally started my sister and I picked up some umbrellas and just kept going Yoko was so kind and considerate of our slow pace and my caution of wet stairs and such. I highly recommend you book with her. She was so informative of the history of the temple and shrines, and patiently answered every little question we had about things we were seeing. The weather was not good on the day, but I also had a lovely time with you. Visiting beautiful places in Kamakura in autumn with you was enjoyable and memorable. “Best way to see Japan is with Yoko!”
We booked two tours with Yoko, one was this one day Tokyo tour and the other was the Kamakura tour. I entered my One Day Tour review on the other tour in error. Both tours were so wonderful, but I would like to recognize Yoko on the amazing job she did with the Kamakura tour. It was such a wonderful experience... We loved the train ride and the bus ride to Kamakura. We saw the Buddha, but because we are a foodie, we especially loved the soba noodles place Yoko introduced us to. Yoko was like family by the end of our tour...she was kind, helpful, and made sure we did all that we wanted. Our tour went a little longer than expected, but Yoko was flexible and very accommodating. When it was time to say goodbye, she gave us thank you gifts. We were sad to say goodbye. We will definitely seek her again next time we go back to Japan. Thank you Yoko for making us feel special and giving us memorable moments.

Yoko, you were the sunshine of our trip. We are truly appreciative of all the effort you made to accommodate our group. The day was one of the busiest time in Tokyo with lots of people, so I wasn't sure if you fully enjoyed Tokyo - but I was glad to see that all of you enjoyed sakura-mochi, seasonable sweets in Japan, at Tsukiji market. I was also glad to see that your children and niece looked really happy when we arrived in Akihabara. I'll never forget their reaction, which naturally made me smile.
