In Akihabara, you can see hundreds of maids promoting their cafes on the maid street.
However, sometimes it’s hard for the tourists to find good ones.
Nervous about visiting maid cafe?! Don’t worry!
I know the most entertaining maid cafes with my experience as a maid cafe manager.

Hello! Welcome to my page and hopefully soon, Akihabara!
I’m a government licensed tour guide with profound knowledge of Japanese culture, history and geography. I was born in a suburb area and grew up in Tokyo. I studied abroad in the US and UK, and met great people from all over the world. I was an IT engineer and a manager of a maid cafe in Akihabara.
Although I know many spots in Tokyo, Akihabara, the very special Otaku mecca, is my home. I lived in Akihabara nearly 10 years to become a genuine Otaku!

“Tour of Akihabara including Maid Cafe”
My friends and I had a tour arranged by Melody around Akihabara including a visit to a maid cafe. Melody was very friendly and knowledgeable and before the tour offered to tailor the tour to our interests. We asked to include a nearby shrine which Melody was happy to incorporate. As well as telling us about the history of the area and answering all our questions, Melody also took us to places we would not have otherwise come across on our own (such as a traditional tea house) which really shows the value of using a local guide. The maid cafe was the highlight and definately helped by having Melody along to explain the goings on and help us navigate which allowed us to enjoy it more. We had a great fun afternoon with Melody and would definately recommend to others

(2 reviews)Thank you for your heartfelt review, Nik! I’m very happy becoming a part of your good memories in Japan. Yes, we did enjoy a lot of things during the tour in Akihabara and hope you also spent rest of the fun time in Japan. I look forward to seeing you again someday in the future.
“The Perfect Tour Guide”
Melody met me at my hotel (a real bonus!) and we immediately clicked. We had easy and stimulating conversation about history, culture and social norms while we explored Akihabara and that sub-culture. It was my first time in that area, and to a Maid Cafe. (My advice is to just roll with it and have fun!) Melody is very knowledgeable about the area, and was able to tailor the tour to my mood and needs. It's the little things that make a great tour, even if unplanned, like finding the perfect ginger ale near a shrine. Melody was flexible and open-minded. I highly recommend this tour, even if you're not quite 'Otaku'. :)

(2 reviews)Thank you for your kind reply, Ric. Yes, we clicked immediately! I had never expected our trip ends up such a wonderful one before we actually met up. We talked about many themes and discovered so many hidden gems of Akihabara in a short time. It was an unforgettable day. I expect you will come to Tokyo and we can meet up again!
