Ueno and Yanaka
Ueno is a popular district of Tokyo. The open market of Ameyayokocho, a black market that appeared at the end of the war that sold candy and American products. The first public park in Japan, there are seven museums, a zoo and many temples and shrines. Yanaka is a residential district of Tokyo that escaped the bombs, known for its Machiya-style wooden houses, a large cemetery where the last shogun is buried, Buddhist temples and the Yanaka Ginza shopping street.

Hakone, located not far from Odawara Castle, is a town famous for its hot springs, autumn scenery and views of Mount Fuji. Just an hour and a half by train from Tokyo. Hakone also offers volcanic landscapes, hiking trails, art museums, pirate ships and a rich history.

Mount Fuji parks and lakes one-day tour from Tokyo

Mount Takao Hike and onsen
Why not spend a day exploring one of Tokyo's most popular mountain? At 599m high, Takao-san is an easy hike that is particularly popular with Japanese people of all ages. Mt. Takao also has a cable car that can carry you a good portion of the way up. It is located in Tama, west of Tokyo, about an hour by train from Shinjuku Station.

“Great tour guide”
It was my first time in Tokyo. I booked virginie for 2 days. Virginie my guide, was very welcoming, helpful and had an extensvie knowledge and understanding of the culture and history. We went to a few temples and shrines, she took me to the best place to have a strawberry mochi. Virginie helped me navigate the trains and how to access them. We had the best time learning and exploring the hot spots in Tokyo. I would definitely recommemd virgine as to anyone wanting to see the city.

“Tokyo tour”
We had a very good time on our tour. She had a lot of information and guided us on the history and traditions. She was very patient with our teenage daughter went to Stop & Shop. She even gave us suggestions afterwards to where we could go for my daughter to find what she was looking for, and she found what she was looking for.
