Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, and having lived in Australia, Holland, Israel and Argentina, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists. I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French). “It was a long, tiring day, but being surrounded by nature made every second worthwhile.”

Pierre prepared all the hiking gear we needed — from delicious fruits to drinking water. He guided us to several waterfall spots that we could never have reached on our own, and even took beautiful photos for us. There were resting points along the way, and he shared interesting knowledge throughout the hike. We truly enjoyed every moment of this nature-filled adventure. Highly recommended for anyone still deciding — thank you so much, Pierre!

“A great travel experience, despite the bad weather.”

Pierre was incredibly helpful throughout the trip. He assisted with purchasing tickets, explained the history and significance of the places we visited, and helped us solve problems—even when the weather wasn’t great and the traffic was heavy. When we asked him to stop by a supermarket so we could pick up a few things, he kindly accommodated our request without hesitation.

“Absolutely perfect in every respect”

Guilherme was the kind of person you feel you've known all you life he's warm, knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best guides we've ever had. Would recommend going out of your way to stop in Rio to see Guilherme, which is what we did on our way to Buenos Aires from Washington DC. Arriving in Rio at 9 AM, participating in the Tour then heading back to the airport to catch a flight to Buenos Aires. Guilherme provided a fantastic tour of Rio at our pace and convenience, taking the long way around town so we could get a better look at things.
