Xian Essential Private Day Tour of Top Attractions by Car
This tour covers the essence of Xi’an. You will discover the vivid life-size soldiers and horses as well as the ancient army of Qin Shi Huang’s empire, explore the most complete city wall in exist, and witness the solemn ancient pagoda holding the old Buddhist relics and classics taken from India. Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum
After meeting up, get on a comfortable vehicle to start the journey to the eighth world wonder, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The museum was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world’s cultural heritages. It mainly consists of three pits. Upon arrival, you will go directly to check out those life-size warriors and horses. Each pit is like an enduring mystery that remains hidden within its depth. No one knows the exact story behind those vivid figures but everyone has a story for them deep in mind by imagination.
Lunch in local restaurant
Later you will enjoy a typical Chinese lunch in a local restaurant. You can choose your preferred dishes and your guide will always be there to help. This is a great opportunity to try out the local cuisine.
Drive back to downtown
Then drive back to Xi’an downtown.
City Wall
You will start exploring the ancient City Wall. It wins the fame as the most complete city wall existing in China and also one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Walking on the wall, you may see the modern Xi’an outside the wall and the old Xi’an inside. If you are daring, you may ride a bicycle to quickly tour around it.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda
After that, you will head eastwards to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda - one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China. Originally built in 652 AD during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), it functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now you may see many entertainment and relaxation facilities at the neighbourhood. The area is quite popular among the locals also, so it will be a good chance to mix with the local people.
Hotel drop off
To conclude the full day sightseeing, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel at last.
