Óbidos is a medieval village, the crown jewel, within castle walls this village was a wedding gift from King D. Dinis to his wife, Queen D. Isabel, and has a irresistable charm
Nazaré
Around lunch time, we headed to Nazaré, an old fishing village, known today as the place where the biggest wave in the world, with 30m high, was surfed. Even for those who are not big fans of surfing, Nazaré has its charms with fish drying in the sun and varinas (fishermen’s wives) selling to tourists passing by.
Fatima
When you arrive to Fatimas Sanctuary you immediately feel its energy. It's a space for pilgrimage and catholic worship. Built for the memory of the appearance of Our Lady of Fátima to the three little shepherds in 1917. The construction began with the Apparitions chapel, but currently it has two more basilicas due the need to increase the reception area for pilgrims. Even for non catholic it´s a incredible place
