Peso da Régua
Situated on the banks of the river Douro, Peso da Régua played a fundamental role in the production and sale of port wine, for it was from here that the barrels were transported in the Rabelo boats to Vila Nova de Gaia, where the wine was left to age in the local wine lodges.
São Leonardo da Galafura Viewpoint
Panoramic sightseeing over the Douro river and the surrounding hills, all covered by the vineyard terraces.

Originally from Lisbon, I moved to Porto in 98 to get my college degree in Biology. So quickly I fell in love with this city, its people, its food and wine - Porto is the homeland of the famous Port Wine and Francesinha, one of the best sandwiches in the world - its rich diverse history and world-renowned cultural treasures that I have been living here since then.
After University, I lived in Paris for one year, where I got a graduate degree in Image, Communication and Protocol - communicating with people is my passion – and I have been working in Tourism and Hospitality for the past years.
Traveling is all about exploring and understanding the place you visit, its people, history, culture and heritage diversity, as well as experience their traditions and gastronomy. Only this way you’ll be able to make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
