The Sagrada Família is a truly exceptional Basilica , the result of the work of genius architect Antoni Gaudí. Today, more than 135 years after the laying of the cornerstone, construction continues on the Basilica.
You will know the reasons why is still unfinished and when it will be finished. You will see what's already built and what's still left.
I suggest to do the tour in the afternoon, from 2 pm, when the sun is at the west side.

Hi, my name is Vanessa, I am a licensed guide from Barcelona.
I studied Art History at the University of Barcelona (UB), and I coursed the last year of the degree at the University of Parma (Italy), a lovely place where is produced the famous parmigiano cheese!
When completed the degree in Italy I came back to Barcelona, but shortly after I decided to move to London (UK) where I lived during a year and a half enjoying a vibrant city full of art !
When I moved back to Barcelona I worked in art galleries and museums, like the National Museum of Art of Catalunya (MNAC), and contemporary art museum CAIXAFORUM.
During the year 2006 I passed the exams and I became a Licensed tour guide.
Since the first day I love my job! Meeting new people, connecting with them, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for arts. Make the customers fall in love with Barcelona and wish to come back soon is my objective!
Even I am specialized in arts, I love to know and let know what's going on in the city ! I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills.
Ready for the fresh new restaurants and best places for shopping, but also for the most traditional or authentic places, those ones hidden even for many locals !
I live in the heart of Barcelona (just 2 min walk from the Picasso Museum); I was born close to the land that inspired Joan Miró (south of Catalonia); and I Love to spend many weekends in the Empordà, north of Catalonia, where Salvador Dalí was born.
