I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and my love for this city led me to switch from nursing to guiding. As a guide, I specialize in Hiroshima city downtown, Miyajima, Futaba no Sato, Onomichi, and Tomo-no-Ura. I also introduce secret photo spots and hidden gems. Using my experience as a nurse, I prioritize meticulous care and bring my natural brightness, aiming to provide a guide experience that allows you to fully enjoy Hiroshima.
I can work on days when I don't have other reservations.
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

“Like having a friend show you around”
We had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Rika during our visit to Hiroshima and Okunoshima, and I can’t speak highly enough of her exceptional service. From start to finish, Rika made our experience unforgettable with her warmth, knowledge, and genuine passion for sharing the history and culture of the region. During our tour of Fukuro-machi Elementary School and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, she engaged everyone in our group—adults & kids alike—with fascinating insights and thoughtful explanations, making the exhibits come alive in a way that was both educational and heartfelt. Her ability to connect with people of all ages gave our whole family a new appreciation for the history and recovery of Hiroshima. Our trip to Okunoshima, the famous “Rabbit Island,” was an absolute delight, thanks to Rika’s meticulous planning and cheerful demeanor. She ensured every detail of the journey was seamless, from transportation to sharing fun facts about the island’s history and its adorable inhabitants. She guided us along with care made the day feel like an adventure with a close friend. Rika’s professionalism, fluency in English, and deep knowledge of the area made every moment meaningful. She went above and beyond, answering questions with patience and tailoring the tour to our interests. Her passion for Hiroshima and its stories shone through, leaving us with memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for an outstanding guide, Rika is simply the best—her tours are a perfect blend of heart, history, and joy!

“A MasterClass for Hiroshima”
Rika is everything you want in a guide - someone to show you the items on your list, but also to show you what you didn't even know to ask for. We learned so much about Japanese shrines and history plus so much information about the bombing and aftermath at Hiroshima. She arranged taxis for our family of 5, kept us on schedule and introduced us to local foods along the way. If you have limited time, in our case a cruise port day, absolutely book as you can see both the UNESCO sites in one tour. We talked about things we learned from Rika throughout the rest of our time in Japan.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review. I was truly happy that everyone listened to my story so attentively. I also really enjoyed talking with all of you. The conversation we had in the taxi was also a lot of fun. Even though our time was limited, I’m glad you got to learn about Hiroshima and felt it was a meaningful experience. Your feedback encourages me to keep going. Thank you again. Rika
