About Tour Guide Keiko K.
Hello, welcome to my profile! I'm Keiko (Kay). As a national certified guide deeply passionate about the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of this area, I am eager to share these experiences with you. With over 16 years of experience living abroad, mostly in Europe, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in diverse cultures and meeting incredible people from around the world. I'm sociable, outgoing and love making new connections wherever I go.
I'm also very active, enjoying sports like badminton, biking, jogging, and dancing, especially zumba and salsa. On top of that, I've been playing the piano for over *xx years, a passion that brings balance to my life. (The reason XX is simply because I hesitate to disclose my age...)
Health and nutrition are important to me, as is the same to everyone, and I love exploring new ways to stay healthy and enjoy good food!
Our itinerary will take us through some of the most iconic landmarks, as well as a few hidden gems that only locals know about. Whether you’re interested in exploring ancient architecture, indulging in the local cuisine, or learning about the fascinating history that has shaped this place, I am here to tailor the tour to your interests.
Would I be a good fit for your company here in Hiroshima?
Warm regards,
Keiko(Kay)

“Kure: The naval history and her patience letting your son explore the museum at his own pace, closing with why Kay ranks among the most unforgettable guides you've had anywhere.”
Our final day with Kay in Kure was the perfect ending. She walked us through the history of the ships and naval heritage with real expertise, making it fascinating for all of us. What we appreciated most was how she let our son take his time she happily allowed him to stay and explore and play in the museum for as long as he wanted, never rushing him, understanding exactly what would make the day special for a curious kid. That kind of patience and attentiveness is rare. We've had guides in nearly every country we've traveled to, and only a few become truly unforgettable. Kay is one of those guides. Her attention to detail, her thoughtful recommendations, her help tracking down what we were looking for, and above all the way she treated our son like family made these three days something we'll always remember. We cannot recommend her highly enough — if you're lucky enough to book Kay, you're in for an experience you'll treasure.

Our third and final day was just as enjoyable as the first two. I had been a little worried that your son might not enjoy the Yamato Museum and the JMSDF Kure Museum, since both focus on the history of past wars, but my worries quickly disappeared. I was amazed to see him earn such a high score on the battleship navigation simulator, identify the subtle sonar sounds underwater, and even carefully copy Japanese characters during the quiz. He impressed me again and again throughout the day! Over these three days, spending time with your family made me feel as though I had gained a truly adorable grandson. It brought me so much joy, and I will always treasure the wonderful time we shared together. And finally, thank you so much for the many gifts you gave me at the end of the tour. I am the one who should be thanking you—I truly can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. I am so grateful that our paths crossed here in Hiroshima, and I sincerely hope you'll come back and visit again someday. I'll be looking forward to seeing you all again. With warmest regards, Kay

“Miyajima: The magic of the island and the momiji manju making that Kay made memorable through her translation help, with her warm, kid-friendly way shining through.”
Our day on Miyajima with Kay was pure magic. From the floating torii gate to wandering the island, she brought everything to life with her knowledge and warmth. The highlight was making momiji manju an experience that could have been lost in translation, but Kay was right there helping us communicate every step of the way, turning it into one of the most memorable and fun moments of our entire trip. Our son still talks about it. Once again, Kay's way with our son made all the difference. She has a natural ability to challenge and engage kids while making them feel completely comfortable, treating him with the same care she'd give her own child. She continued helping us hunt for the souvenir we were after and offered thoughtful recommendations throughout the day that we never would have found on our own. Kay is the kind of guide who makes you feel like you're exploring with a friend who happens to know absolutely everything.

The Momiji Manju baking experience was a lot of fun, wasn't it? It had actually been a while since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautifully the facility had been renovated. It was wonderful to see your son enjoying the experience, and I was also impressed by how quickly you picked up the baking (or cooking) process. Freshly baked Momiji Manju that you've made yourself always tastes extra special. One of the most unforgettable moments for me was seeing your son's smile at the aquarium. The video he captured of a stingray catching and eating a fish was absolutely incredible! I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend such a fun-filled day with your wonderful family. Warm regards, Kay

“Hiroshima: Kay's deep, sensitive telling of the Peace Park history, made accessible for your son, plus her attention to detail and starting the souvenir hunt.”
We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Hiroshima than our day with Kay at the Peace Memorial Park. She shared the history and culture with such depth and sensitivity, giving us the context that made the experience truly meaningful rather than just a walk through a park. She has a gift for explaining difficult history in a way that's honest, moving, and accessible — and she was especially thoughtful in how she helped our son understand it all at his level. What stood out most was how Kay treated our son like one of her own children. She kept him engaged by gently challenging him and drawing him into the story of the place, never talking over his head or leaving him behind. She also went out of her way throughout the day to help us track down a specific souvenir we'd been searching for. Her attention to detail and genuine care were obvious from the very first hour. An incredible start to our time together.

Thank you so much for your heartfelt reviews of our three-day tour. It truly means a lot to me. Our tour started with a small mix-up on the Shinkansen platform, so I was so relieved and happy the moment I finally saw all of your faces! It was also such a joy to discover right from the beginning that your son and I shared a love of dinosaurs. I was also delighted to find out right from the beginning that your son and I both love dinosaurs. Although Hiroshima is often associated with the heavy and painful history of war and the atomic bombing, I was deeply touched by your son's sincere curiosity. The fact that he asked honest questions and genuinely wanted to understand meant so much to me. His simple words, "That's so sad...", are exactly the kind of empathy that gives me hope for the future. Warm regards, Kay

Hi everyone. I'm Kazumi. I am a qualified tour guide.I have been guiding Hiroshima since 2010. Through guiding Hiroshima, I can give my guests my knowledge of this area and Japanese culture. At the same time, I can learn their understanding of Japan and the differences between our culture and theirs, which is very interesting. I also believe that meeting with local people is the best way to know the area. I was born and grew up in Hiroshima. I am very happy to give you wonderful time and memories in Hiroshima. I am really looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello, I’m Naomi, a guide, a rice farmer and a mom of three. I live in the peaceful countryside of Hiroshima. Our family resides in a 200-year-old traditional farmhouse, surrounded by nature and history. I began learning English again at the age of 40, and although I don’t have much overseas experience, guiding visitors has become one of my greatest joys. Sharing Japan through my own eyes makes every encounter exciting and meaningful. I love welcoming people and building connections across cultures. If my hospitality can add a special touch to your journey in Japan, it would bring me great happiness. I look forward to meeting you—thank you!
