I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

I worked as an engine engineering engineer for an automobile company for 42 years. During that period, I worked on the joint engine development program with Ford Motor Company for six years and spent 3 years in Germany and acquired English communication skills. While communicating with people from many countries both work and privately. I also learned the difficulties and joys of communicating with people from different countries. This prompted me to start working as an interpreter-guide after retiring from the automobile company. I think that the best way to know the local culture, food and history is to meet and talk with the locals. That's why I'm here. In my tour, as a descendant of a survivor of the atomic bomb, I talk about my family history. I myself love ramen and okonomiyaki, so I often go around trying delicious okonomiyaki and ramen restaurants. Why don't you join me in trying them?

Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed tour guide, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors. Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers. “Memorable Morning Together”

Thank you Pancho for an insightful and educational morning! Based on his recommendation, we explored the Peace museum on our own, then met up with Pancho to walk through the Peace park and other key sites. We especially enjoyed learning his family's story, making the origami crane to donate to the Children's Memorial, and lunch together at a local restaurant.
