“An Unforgettable and Meaningful Day in Hiroshima ”

This review is long overdue, but our time with Miyu-san in Hiroshima back in June was such a meaningful part of our trip to Japan that I couldn't let any more time pass without sharing our experience. Before our visit, she took the time to ask about our family's interests and thoughtfully created an itinerary that was perfect for us. Unfortunately, due to poor planning on our end, we had to significantly shorten our tour at the last minute. Miyu-san could not have been more gracious or understanding. She immediately adjusted our plans and made sure we were able to experience the places she felt were most important with the limited time we had. She was incredibly efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Her knowledge of Hiroshima, World War II, and the atomic bombing far exceeded our expectations. What made the experience even more powerful was hearing her personal stories and perspective from having previously worked with survivors of the bombing. She helped us understand the history on a much deeper and more human level than we ever could have experienced on our own. Despite the very serious history we were learning about, Miyu-san was incredibly warm, personable, and funny. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her and was wonderful with our entire family. We only wish our mistake hadn't shortened the time we were able to spend with her! Even with fewer hours than originally planned, Miyu-san made every minute count and gave us an experience we will never forget. If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Miyu-san enough. Having her guide us through such an important part of history added so much meaning to our visit. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness, flexibility, knowledge, and the personal stories she shared with us. Thank you, Miyu-san!

“A Meaningful and Unforgettable visit to Hiroshima”

We spent four hours with Miyu touring the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Peace Memorial Park, and it was a deeply meaningful experience. Miyu tailored the tour to our requests and provided valuable context on the atomic bombing, its impact on the people of Hiroshima, the treatment of survivors, and the stories behind the various memorials. Her personal experience working with atomic bomb survivors added a particularly meaningful and human dimension to her explanations. She is extremely knowledgeable, warm, and attentive, and adapted the tour perfectly to our pace and interests. Her insights added so much to our visit, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a deeper and more personal understanding of Hiroshima.

I felt truly honored that you chose me as your guide, especially after learning how deeply interested you are in Hiroshima and its history. On the day of the tour, I really valued the time we spent talking together as we viewed the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Cenotaph illuminated after sunset. Thank you again for visiting Hiroshima.

“Miyu F. was a Fabulous Guide!”

We spent 2 days with Miyu - one at the Peace Memorial and museum and one at Miyajima island. Miyu was so knowledgable about the City and the Island and the two days spent with her were among our favorite part of our 11 day visit to Japan! She tailored the trip based on our suggested itinerary and was flexible with respect to changing things when we needed to. We loved hearing her stories of the Hiroshima survivors she has actually met and the Daisho-in temple on the island was one of the most interesting temples we visited. She timed our island ropeway trip such that we had little wait time in line and experienced the beautiful view from the top without huge crowds. We are so glad that we connected with Miyu and wholeheartedly recommend her!
