About Tour Guide Miyu F.
My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades.
I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors.
I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences.
I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular.
I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

“Hiroshima Tour”
Miyu is absolutely lovely tour guide. She knows the history of Hiroshima very well. She went extra mile checking on us after our tour in Hiroshima from Nagasaki, making sure we arrived safely. Very kind and thoughtful of her.

“Miyajima Island”
Miyu is absolutely wonderful tour guide. She guided us all over the island and followed our customised itinerary. I love when during our tour break she would take us to the restaurant of our choice and make we are comfortable, relax and let you have enjoy your own space and would come back on the set time to finish the rest of our tour which to us is great. Although we love her company but she would like us to enjoy our tour break on our own. Highly recommend.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. Although the ropeway had to suspend operations due to thunder, I'm glad you were still able to fully enjoy Miyajima, both during the day and at night.

Kazumi M.
Hi everyone. I'm Kazumi. I am a qualified tour guide.I have been guiding Hiroshima since 2010. Through guiding Hiroshima, I can give my guests my knowledge of this area and Japanese culture. At the same time, I can learn their understanding of Japan and the differences between our culture and theirs, which is very interesting. I also believe that meeting with local people is the best way to know the area. I was born and grew up in Hiroshima. I am very happy to give you wonderful time and memories in Hiroshima. I am really looking forward to hearing from you.

Naomi K.
Hello! I'm Naomi—a licensed local guide, a rice farmer, and a mother of three in Hiroshima. I believe that travel is about more than visiting famous places—it's about meeting people, sharing stories, and creating connections that stay with us long after the journey ends. That's why I love being a guide. Through this work, I've had the privilege of meeting wonderful people from all over the world, and every tour feels like the beginning of a new friendship. My family and I live in a 200-year-old traditional farmhouse in the peaceful countryside, where generations before us have grown rice and cared for the land. As a working rice farmer, I enjoy sharing not only Japan's iconic sights, but also the everyday traditions, values, and way of life that many visitors never have the chance to experience. I began learning English at the age of 40 because I wanted to connect with people beyond Japan. Although I haven't traveled overseas very much, welcoming guests into my world has shown me that kindness, curiosity, and laughter can bridge any cultural difference. Whether we're exploring Hiroshima's World Heritage Sites or spending time in the countryside, my hope is that you'll leave with more than beautiful photographs. I hope you'll leave with unforgettable memories, a deeper understanding of Japan, and perhaps even a friend in Hiroshima. I look forward to meeting you!
