About Tour Guide Kahori M.
Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed guide interpreter, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.

One-day Hiroshima / Miyajima Private Tour
Fantastic and efficient tour to explore the two both world heritage sites, Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima. The basic tour is a walking tour using public transportation. Lunch of okonomiyaki, Hiroshima's soul food, is included in the itinerary. You can customize the tour depending on time efficiency, interests and any other requests.

This tour includes Peace Memorial Park, the most popular site in central Hiroshima and its related highly modern and beautiful waste disposal facility, which is designed by world-renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi, in homage to his mentor Kenzo Tange’s Peace Park. Outside of the facility, you can enjoy a special moment of relaxation while taking in the view of the Seto Inland Sea.

4-hour Onomichi Highlight Tour
Onomichi has a wide range of attractions, from the spectacular views overlooking the ocean to the city's history, the nostalgic staircases and petting cats, to eating and browsing your way through the shopping district. This tour begins with a ropeway ride and allows you to fully enjoy the charms of Onomichi while descending the narrow staircases unique to the area.

“Memorable afternoon”
Once our tour was booked, Karhori had been in contact with us. She was very flexible with timings and our itinerary. We had a memorable afternoon with her showing us important sights of Hiroshima giving us the the local history. She was patient with our questions. She even took us a local restaurant for us to try vegetarian Okonomiyaki, a local delicacy. I strongly recommend her as a local guide.

My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.
