About Tour Guide Kahori M.
Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed guide interpreter, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.

One-day Hiroshima / Miyajima Private Tour
Fantastic and efficient tour to explore the two both world heritage sites, Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima. The basic tour is a walking tour using public transportation. Lunch of okonomiyaki, Hiroshima's soul food, is included in the itinerary. You can customize the tour depending on time efficiency, interests and any other requests.
Half-day Hiroshima City Highlight Tour
This half-day tour includes three of the most popular sites in central Hiroshima: Peace Memorial Park (including Peace Memorial Museum), Hiroshima Castle, affectionately called Rijo (Carp Castle) by Hiroshima citizens, and Shukkeien, a strolling-style Japanese garden made by local load. You will learn about Hiroshima's history and peace while enjoying beautiful scenery and nature.
One-day Shimose Museum and Miyajima Island
Gorgeous tour visiting both Miyajima, a World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful art museums in the world (Prix Versailles 2024 Award), the Shimose Art Museum by the sea.
Half-day Miyajima tour
Miyajima has a long history as a sacred island, and is known world widely for tis beautiful and unique shrine and Giant Torii gate. Wild deer stroll leisurely, and the island, a World Heritage site, is filled with hidden photogenic spots.
Half-day Peace Park and Naka factory (unique and modern architecture)
This tour includes Peace Memorial Park, the most popular site in central Hiroshima and its related highly modern and beautiful waste disposal facility, which is designed by world-renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi, in homage to his mentor Kenzo Tange’s Peace Park. Outside of the facility, you can enjoy a special moment of relaxation while taking in the view of the Seto Inland Sea.

“100 of out 10! ”
We had a fantastic day with Ms. Kahori. My kids loved the tour and rated it "100 out of 10", "best tour we ever had" (and we have had many tours). In the morning, she showed us the wonderful sights of Miyajima Island. We didn't know much of the island except the Torii gate, but she showed us so much and we wholeheartedly loved it. For lunch, we had okonomiyaki. She even made a reservation for us at a local restaurant on the island, so we could sit down and order as soon as we arrived, which saved a lot of waiting time. In the afternoon, we went to the Peace museum. It was a dark part of our history, but important for us and the kids to see. However, there was also a bright side to it. During our train ride to the museum, she showed us how to make origami paper cranes, which was great fun for the kids, and perfectly timed, since subsequently the kids decided to dedicate their cranes at the monuments we visited. She was extremely friendly and patient, and great to be around!

“One-day Hiroshima”
Five Stars ***** Our family of five toured with Kahori on 12-28-24. We had a wonderful experience! She was very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and made the museums and day very interesting. Even though it was a very sad time, I'm so glad we did it. Then we went to lunch in someone's house where the women actually cooked for us. We then went to Miyajima Island by ferry for the afternoon. Don't forget to see the deer there. It was a lot of fun. We visited more temples there and finished out our day. I would highly recommend going on a tour with Kahori. She is first class and so is her tour!

I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.
