I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and my love for this city led me to switch from nursing to guiding. As a guide, I specialize in Hiroshima city downtown, Miyajima, Futaba no Sato, Onomichi, and Tomo-no-Ura. I also introduce secret photo spots and hidden gems. Using my experience as a nurse, I prioritize meticulous care and bring my natural brightness, aiming to provide a guide experience that allows you to fully enjoy Hiroshima.
I can work on days when I don't have other reservations.

“Wonderful day with Rika!”
Our guided tour was an unforgettable experience because Rika thoughtfully organized and introduced Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. We went to Miyajima first to beat the crowds, and the Island was so beautiful, peaceful and enchanting. The iconic floating torii gate was stunning in person and we were able to capture some amazing photos. We visited the temples briefly and then had time to explore the island town and try the local momiji manju. Rika then took us to an amazing traditional Japanese lunch in Hiroshima, and we folded origami as she shared the purpose and stories of Sadako and the paper cranes. A great experience for our teenage daughters! Hiroshima Peace Park was deeply moving and we walked away with a renewed perspective on peace and resilience. Rika was incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and passionate. She brought us to several historical remnants off the beaten path and it was moving to see how they were preserved throughout the rebuilt city as a tribute to the past. The balance between the historical weight of Hiroshima and the tranquility of Miyajima made this tour incredibly well-rounded. I highly recommend this tour with Rika as she made the day seamless and an experience that stays with you long after the trip ends.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I am very happy that I could spend time with your wonderful family in Hiroshima. It was also a precious experience to talk with you about your country and about yourselves. I’m glad you enjoyed the meal at my favorite Japanese restaurant. There are still many beautiful places to see in Hiroshima. Please come back to Japan and visit Hiroshima again! Rika

“Rika is Amazing!!!”
Our family really enjoyed a historic tour of Hiroshima with Rika. The tour was incredible - very organized, timely, and informative. We saw many unique areas of the city and even made paper cranes. If you’re considering booking a tour with Rika - DO IT! You won’t regret it. She is an incredible person with lots of knowledge and a big heart. We are very very grateful for her time, knowledge, and kindness. She even helped us to locate a backpack we lost on the train - not necessary but very appteciated! Thank you, Rika! You will always hold a special place in our memories and hearts.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Although our time together was short, I really appreciate your interest in Hiroshima and how engaged you were in our conversations. It was truly a pleasure for me to spend time with your lovely family. I’m also very relieved to hear that their backpack made it back safely! I sincerely hope you all visit Hiroshima again someday. I look forward to the opportunity to see you again. Rika

“Rika made us smile. A great person who is also a wonderful guide.”
Rika is kind, thoughtful, and serene. She made our day go extremely well, for our group of four people. Rika is a considered communicator, and we are grateful for her humanity, modesty and kindness. Thankfully, Rika doesn’t shout, and when she talks, it’s to the point. We had an eight-hour tour of beautiful Hiroshima with Rika, and we would all do the same again. Rika has perfect English, and was a brilliant, brilliant guide. Thank you for everything Rika. Kind regards John
