Imperial Palace Jogging 5KM Experience
The 5-kilometer loop around Tokyo’s Imperial Palace is Japan’s most famous running route—where locals, Olympians, and visitors all jog alongside history. With its smooth pavement, lush greenery, and postcard views of moats and castle walls, it’s the perfect blend of fitness and sightseeing.

Karaoke Experience
No trip to Tokyo is complete without belting out your favorite tunes in a private karaoke room! Unlike Western-style bar karaoke, Japan’s karaoke culture is all about uninhibited fun with friends (or solo!) in a cozy, high-tech booth—complete with disco lights, tambourines, and an endless song library. It’s where shy locals transform into rockstars after a few drinks.

“Amazing guide and day that will never be forgotten.”
Thank you, Peter, for the wonderful tour you gave my daughter and her friend, both 20. They had a one-day layover on their way to the rest of their trip. I wanted to help them get as much out of that short time in Tokyo as possible, and asked Peter to assist. The girls had a few things they wanted to do, and Peter organized that into the best day ever for them. He took awesome pictures of their adventure, and they had a great time. The girls loved his funny personality and his food recommendations. I highly recommend him as a guide in any capacity. His communication was always prompt and polite, and he planned their day expertly. Thank you again, Peter. Their day will not be forgotten.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to me. I’m very happy to hear that your daughter and her friend had such a memorable Tokyo layover tour. Making the most of limited time in Tokyo—especially during a one-day stopover—is exactly what I aim to do as a private Tokyo tour guide. I’m glad I could organize their must-see spots into a smooth, fun, and unforgettable itinerary. It was a pleasure guiding them around the city, sharing local food recommendations, and capturing photos of their adventure so they could take those memories home with them. Knowing they felt comfortable, had fun, and enjoyed my personality makes this even more rewarding. Thank you again for trusting me to plan such an important day. I truly appreciate your recommendation, and I would be more than happy to guide you, your family, or friends again in the future—whether it’s a custom Tokyo tour, a layover sightseeing experience, or a first-time visit to Japan. Warm regards, Peter

“The best guide”
We had an incredible experience exploring Tokyo with our guide, Peter. From the moment we met, Peter was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He tailored the tour perfectly to our interests, providing fascinating historical insights and local tips that we would have never discovered on our own. His Spanish was excellent, and he was patient and engaging throughout the day. Thanks to Peter, we experienced Tokyo like locals and created unforgettable memories. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a top-notch guide in Tokyo!

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Grant A.
Hello! My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. While most guests book Tokyo-based tours, I also guide in other regions—especially Kyoto, where I’ve visited every World Heritage Site. I regularly lead tours in Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Hikone, and other locations easily reached by rail. Multi-day and custom tours are available on request. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.

Hi, I am Hiromi, a National licensed guide in English. I studied in England and U.S. during my 20s and 30s. I graduated college in NY.
