Day 3 - Customised Tour - Recommend!

After 2 days tour with Akira, he know we like to see heritage and he explained history very well. He recommended we should go Toshodai-ji after seeing so many temples / shines. He is detail and know what we want to see and do recommendation. Very happy that we go with his plan and visited Toshodai-ji which was founded in the year 759 by Ganjin, a Chinese priest who was invited to Japan by the emperor in order to train priests. We also pay respect to Ganjin’s tomb. We also manage to go Daruma Temple (Katsuo-ji Temple) - recommeded to go with Akira too! Lots of fun there!

It is truly my honor and great pleasure to introduce you to a hidden historical treasure in Nara — Tōshōdai-ji Temple. Although not as widely known as some other famous sites, it is deeply meaningful and well worth visiting, especially if you are interested in history. You will discover an important chapter in the transmission of Buddhism to Japan, with Nara as a key starting point. I am very happy to have the opportunity to show you this remarkable and peaceful temple. Thank you.

Day 2 tour with Akira - Excellent

Day 2 tour with Akira - Excellent We manage to see (1) Fushimi Inari Taisha, (2) Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion), (3) Kiyomizudera Temple, (4) Hokanji Temple (Yasakanotou Pagoda), (5) Gion. Along Gion street, Akira also taught us how to see which resturant will have Geisha performance by seeing the lantern light on/off. Yes! We are lucky to see Geisha! And if you like to go for local food that only local people go, Akira know all the local hidden food area. Leave it to Akira to plan for lunch!

Thank you very, very much for your kind words and high praise. As your guide on your second day in Kyoto, we were able to visit almost all the key highlights in the eastern part of the city. There are many wonderful places worth seeing in the Higashiyama area, but thanks to our careful planning, we covered the most important sites and experienced the culture in the most meaningful way. I truly appreciate your and your mother’s cooperation — it was because of your support that we were able to complete the full itinerary smoothly. Thank you again.
