Akira tour guide

Akira, was honestly by far the best tour guide I have ever encounted in Japan so far. I booked the Kyoto tour mainly to experience and understand the culture and history. I sure did learn a lot that day! He was very flexible, patient and kind, went above and beyond ensuring we covered all spots of the tour. It gave me soo much insight into the history of kyoto and culture. I only wished I had more time to do Osaka, i would defintely use him again and recommend him to anyone that wants to do kyoto. I have told him next time I am bringin my parents with me and booking him again. I really appreciated his time and the extensvie knowledge he has about the place. I highly recommend 5 out 5 rating! Thank you so much Akira!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and your kind words. I truly enjoyed spending the day with you, sharing the culture and history of Kyoto. Our conversations were not only enjoyable but also a great learning experience. As you mentioned, I sincerely hope to meet your parents in Kyoto next time. Since they enjoy history, I’m sure we’ll have many more fascinating topics to explore together. Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing you again in Kyoto!

Well paced, enthusiastic, informative tour

We very much enjoyed our half day, heritage walking tour with Akira, on our first morning in Kyoto. He was timely, very well informed, entertaining and we covered a lot of ground in a well paced way. Akira's history lessons helped us understand the meaning of Buddhism, Shintoism, the Shogun era, and more, which helped us enjoy more deeply places we visited afterwards even without him! Well worth it.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I truly enjoyed spending time with you during our tour. Although our time together was short, we made the most of it by exploring Kyoto’s culture and history in as much depth as possible. I hope what we shared helped make your journey even more meaningful. I also learned a great deal from our conversations, so thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with me. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to see you again in Japan someday. Thank you, and I wish you all the best!

Next Level Tour Guide in Kyoto!!

Akira was an exceptional guide for our historic tour of Kyoto! Our family was so impressed with his enthusiasm, flexibility, and knowledge throughout our exploration of many Kyoto temples and attractions. Akira provided fascinating historical insight and cultural context throughout the day, ensuring that our experience was meaningful and memorable. We began our tour at the bamboo forest, where Akira shared its history and took several wonderful family photos. We then visited the Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), where he helped us appreciate the significance of the site and captured more beautiful pictures. Akira even took us to visit his favorite temple—a peaceful, beautiful location that was far less crowded than many of the better-known attractions. Another main highlight was ramen at Akira’s favorite local ramen spot. No other tourists and ramen we would go back for!! Throughout the tour, Akira maintained a warm and positive attitude. We especially appreciated his candor, sense of humor, and willingness to answer all of our questions. He drove us safely and comfortably between destinations in his clean, air-conditioned and well-maintained car. Akira truly went above and beyond to ensure that our family had an enjoyable and memorable experience. His kindness, expertise, and dedication made our time in Japan even more special. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Kyoto!
