Kinkakuji Temple
Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is a revered Zen Buddhist temple located in Kyoto, Japan. Renowned for its stunning architecture and picturesque surroundings, Kinkaku-ji stands as a testament to the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship and spirituality.
The temple's upper two floors are adorned with shimmering gold leaf, creating a breathtaking sight that is reflected in the tranquil pond that surrounds it.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Kiyomizu Temple is the biggest and the most famous temple in Japan and has been registered as the world heritage in UNESCO. Surrounding Kiyomizu-dera, the Higashiyama district is a treasure trove of traditional Japanese culture. Narrow lanes lined with traditional machiya houses, quaint shops, and artisan studios provide an authentic taste of old Kyoto. The historic Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka sloping streets are particularly charming and offer opportunities for exploration and discovery. Besides that you can also rent yukata to walk around Kyoto and take great pictures.
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha, is a sacred Shinto shrine renowned for its iconic torii gates and profound spiritual significance. As one of the most visited shrines in Japan, Fushimi Inari Taisha offers a unique and enchanting experience that captivates visitors from around the world.

“Great day in Kyoto with Alika”
We had a very good day in Kyoto with Akira. He’s knowledgeable about everything in the city — and excited to share that knowledge. We wanted to change some things up from the standard itinerary and he was flexible and accommodating about that, and also he introduced us to some beautiful meaningful places that I hadn’t expected to see. Also, he’s a great driver with a nice car, and if you want him to, he can take well-crafted photographs of you.

“Kyoto Highlights ”
We really enjoyed our half day Heritage walking tour. We arrived in Kyoto around noon and began the tour at 2:00. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold, but Akira was a wonderful tour guide and we learned a lot about history and culture. We had a good time in spite of the weather thanks to Akira.

Thank you very much for your kind review. Visiting Kyoto during the rainy season can make the wooden temples and traditional buildings appear even more vivid and beautiful. However, the weather can also be quite cold, so everything has two sides — both good and challenging. Even so, I’m very happy that we were able to enjoy some of the most beautiful parts of the Higashiyama area together in the time we had. “Private tour Kyoto”
We had a wonderful day in Kyoto with Akira as our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and energetic, and his love of Kyoto comes through in his telling of history and descriptions of the culture. We started our day visiting the snow monkeys, then went to the bamboo forest. En-route he took us to the “Kimono Forest” which was a fun surprise photo opportunity. After lunch we saw the Tenruji temple and gardens, and ended our day with the Golden temple. Akira recommended several restaurants and gave us a plan for our next day of sightseeing on our own. He even found a gluten-free Ramen noodles place! His English is excellent. Highly recommend.
