Hi, I'm Michiko.

I'm a national certified English tour guide.Since I was born and raised in Nara, I'm familiar with the sightseeing spots and attractions of Nara, and neighboring city, Kyoto.

Nara and Kyoto, old capitals of Japan, retain time honoured structures and art works. What is more, beautiful gardens and picturesque landscapes are always waiting for you!

I'm also a traveler who especially love to explore local foods and crafts, which have been passed down from generation to generation.

“More than a Guide – A Truly Thoughtful Kyoto Experience – Expertly Organized and Deeply Caring”

Our day in Kyoto with Michiko was simply outstanding. We arrived from Osaka Airport Hotel in the morning a bit tired from our travels, and Michiko managed to perfectly balance our need for a relaxed pace with our desire to see the iconic sights like the Golden Pavilion and Fushimi Inari. She is incredibly structured, professional, and organized, yet her greatest strength is her empathy. She took wonderful care of us, always mindful of our energy levels. A special highlight was the vegetarian lunch she arranged. Because of my wife’s allergies, we are often cautious, but Michiko found a place where the food was spectacular and the team was perfectly prepared. It was one of our best meals in Japan! Michiko’s English is excellent, and her wide range of interests made every conversation a joy. She is a top-tier guide who truly understands her guests. Thank you, Michiko, for a day we will cherish! I was impressed how much you enjoyed not only Kyoto’s iconic temples, shrines, and historic streetscapes, but also the daily lives of the locals you observed along the way. A 24-hour fitness club—that really is something you’d only find in Japan! Also, I’m glad you and your wife enjoyed the lunch so much. Although it wasn’t traditional Japanese cuisine, it might be the most distinctly Japanese in terms of craftsmanship and the spirit of hospitality.
