- Meet your local guide outside the Ritz hotel (W1J 9BR). Next to two red telephone boxes. Nearest underground station is Green Park.
Your tour begins with a stroll through royal Green Park to Buckingham Palace - official residence of the King! Here, your guide will tell stories of the palace's long history.

We then walk up The Mall, past Clarence House (where Charles & Camilla often stay when they are in London) and catch a glimpse of St James Palace. We will stop along the way to admire the various statues, historic buildings & monuments.
You'll visit Westminster's most famous public square, built to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar and the site of many famous British gatherings. See Nelson's Column and many other statues and historic buildings around the square.
Continue towards the political heart of London, passing Downing Street and the London Eye along the way.
See famous statues including Winston Churchill in this historic square, and admire the impressive Houses of Parliament (Palace of Westminster) and Big Ben!
Next, you'll approach the iconic Westminster Abbey, where many Royal weddings, funerals, and coronations have taken place over centuries. Your guide will tell you stories of the abbey's past and the famous people buried here.
Your guide will give you your tickets so that you can enter this grand old cathedral. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, all coronations of English and British monarchs have been in Westminster Abbey. There have been 16 royal weddings at the abbey since 1100, and many of the most famous people in British history are buried here.
You'll have an audio guide in multiple languages to help you explore the Abbey, and can take as long as you like inside before enjoying the rest of your day in London.
After leaving Westminster Abbey, you'll walk to the nearby Churchill War Rooms, just a few minutes away.
Discover the secrets of the underground nerve centre where Churchill and his war cabinet lived, worked, and planned victory in the 2nd World War. Now a museum, the rooms house many fascinating artefacts and exhibitions, all telling the story of the people who once worked here and what they achieved.
