- We meet outside the Ritz hotel (W1J 9BR). Next to two red telephone boxes. Nearest underground station is Green Park.
Stroll through royal Green Park to Buckingham Palace - official residence of the King! Here, your guide will tell stories of the palace's long history.
You'll also witness the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony! (Daily in June & July, otherwise only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays)
We then walk up the Royal Mall, past Clarence House (where Prince Charles & Camilla stay when they are in London) & catch a glimpse of St James Palace. We will stop along the way to admire the statues, buildings & monuments related to the British Royal Family.
You'll visit Westminster's most famous public square, built to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar and the site of many famous British gatherings. See Nelson's Column and many other statue and historic buildings around the square.
Continue towards the political heart of London, passing Downing Street and the London Eye along the way.
See famous statues including Winston Churchill in this historic square, and admire the impressive Houses of Parliament (Palace of Westminster) and Big Ben!
Finally, you'll approach the iconic Westminster Abbey, where many Royal weddings, funerals, and coronations have taken place over centuries. Your guide will tell you stories of the abbey's past and the famous people buried here.
After an introduction from your guide, you'll be given tickets to enter the spectacular Westminster Abbey.
Take your time exploring this incredible building, and use the included audio guide (in multiple languages) to lead you past famous burial sites while you learn of the famous events that have happened here.
We recommend spending at least 90 minutes inside the Abbey.
