Seacity Museum in the centre of Southampton
After we meet up, we shall visit the Titanic Exhibition, located at the Seacity Museum.
You will learn all about the famous cruise ship, and the effect its sinking had on the people of Southampton, where most of the crew had come from.
After exploring the exhibition you will have time to explore the other exhibitions at the museum, take a coffee break, and visit the souvenir shop.
We start the walking tour from Seacity Museum, and continue down the high street, and into the old part of Southampton and the port.
There are many buildings in Southampton with a connection to Titanic, and the story that you learn in the museum, will become more tangible when you see the actual buildings connected to the ship.

Souvenirs
There is a reasonable amount of walking on this tour, so comfortable shoes would be advisable.
Also, bring a raincoat or umbrella, just in case.
At the present time I only have a limited availability, but this will change in the next few months.
I hope to guide full-time next year, when the situation returns to normal....
I have been a Tourist Guide since c.2014. I started out as a Green Badge Tourist Guide for Southampton, then took a Blue Badge course to become a guide for the central southern region of England.
I have a passion for history and beautiful places, and would like to share them with you.

“Nice but not up to expectations ”
Pleasant but not the level of l knowledge or expertise we hoped for. We had expected a guide with a deeper passion for and knowledge of English nautical history. We learned more for overhearing other guides then from Andy.

(1 reviews)Dear Fred, Thank you very much for booking a tour with me, and for your very generous gratuity. It is regrettable when expectation does not align with reality. The level of expertise that you expected could only realistically be obtained from a museum curator / expert; something that I never claim to be. The full-time staff located on the specific ships have an encyclopaedic knowledge, and therefore they would know the more obscure facts like how Nelson liked to dry his feet on the rugs in his cabin. I hope that your head has recovered from the low decks on HMS Victory. Have a lovely rest of your stay in England. Best wishes, Andrew
