Tired of endless city streets? Wish to see some woods and trees? We have just the tour for you. Picking you up in Liverpool we catch the local train to take you to an SSSI [Site of Special Scientific Interest] to explore the many paths, the ancient river the Vikings were supposed to have sailed up - and all just 20 minutes away from Liverpool. If you want adventures on the wild side, this is for you. We can arrange times to suit you for either a morning or afternoon. Routes are 1 to 2 miles.

Happy to pick you up where you are staying, or meet at the nearest station ticket office at a pre-arranged time to suit. This is your tour. It needs to suit you.
As the train goes around all the Liverpool stations, we can meet at your nearest one, if not at your central accomodation. The journey takes about 20 minutes on the local train and they run regularly throughout the day.
From the station it is a 5 minute walk to the 'Wild walk" which, according to which route you choose and the speed we walk at, will take about 1-2 hours and cover about 1-2 miles. We walk along the river through the woodland to breath in fresh air and nature and learn some of the history of this place that reputedly goes back to Viking times - and before!
There is a choice of stations depending on the route taken.
The same times apply if you were to take the trip in the afternoon. . .

When we get to the Wirral the walk will take between one and two hours depending on the choice of route and speed of walking. As this is an all weather activity, good walking shoes and all weather clothing are essential. There are paths but many have been damaged by tree roots and may be slippery.. It can be slightly steep but nothing in the Wirral is over 400 feet so these seem only mounds! A pleasant stroll rather than a mighty hike!
Cancellation in extreme weather conditions [the area is liable to flooding], is at the discretion of the guide when a full refund will be offered.
Suitable for families and reasonable walkers. Not accessible. No children under 6. Minimum 2 people. Maximum number 8.
No refreshments available. Light ones can be ordered from the guide.
Weather can be variable but all walks are assessed on the day and the clients inclination. Minimal fee on last minute cancellation by the client $30/group. Conditions can be severe, particularly with flooding and the event may have to be rearranged such as a stroll around the beautiful grounds of Port Sunlight.
