Guilin:Full-day Countryside Cycling Tour
Have you heard the saying when you come to China-'By water, by mountains, earth's fairest, Guilin!' I have to say it is No Exaggeration! In this tour, we will rent a bicycle and cycle through villages along the Yulong River, and you will get to appreciate the beauty of Guilin by your own eyes.
Meeting Point
At your hotel
Hotel Meet Up and Bike Rental
I'll meet you at the lobby at 9am, and we go to choose a bike.
Xiatang Village and Jiuxian Village
You will visit a traditional ancestral hall, and then continue upstream the Yulong River.
Rice Paddies and Fuli Bridge
A beautiful stone arch from the Ming dynasty.
Yulong Bridge
You will reach from the other side of the river. The road now goes further downstream thourgh some villages and along the river with fantastic views of the valley.
Climb up karst peaks
Make a right turn where a dirt road climb up to a saddle between 2 karst peaks. A bit of a climb, so you can also choose to walk a few hundred meters.
View of the Jinbao River
At the top, you will look down on the valley of Jinbao River in the distance.
Longtang Village
Go down and follow trails through orange and pomelo groves, past ponds and rice fields and eventually will get to Longtang Village, another nice village with old Chinese building.
Moon Hill
From Longtang village it's a short trip to Moon Hill. It takes about 40 minutes to climb the steps to the viewing platform for amazing views of the karst landscape.
