His commentary was natural and fluid, never sounding like he was reading from a script—he shared many little-known historical anecdotes and interesting local stories, bringing this ancient palace complex to life. I especially appreciated his keen ability to understand my needs, his patience in answering all questions, and even the photography tips he shared along the way. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Although the tour was only two hours long, I gained far more than we expected. It was absolutely a perfect experience, and I’ll definitely book John’s tour again the next time I visit Beijing.
