“2 Day tour to the pyramids and new Egyptian Museum ”

We had an amazing tour to the pyramids and the new Egyptian Museum. Everything was very well organized, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Our guide was excellent – very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. He spoke perfect German, which made the tour especially comfortable and easy to follow. He explained everything in a clear and interesting way and gave us a lot of background information about Cairo, the pyramids, and the museum. We learned far more than we expected. What really stood out was that he was able to answer all of our questions in detail, which made the tour even more enjoyable and interactive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cairo.

“The Perfect First Experience in Egypt”

Maryem was an exceptional guide and truly made our experience unforgettable. She provided rich history and meaningful context at every stop, and encouraged our curiosity by welcoming all of our questions. Her knowledge of Egyptian culture and history was evident, and her friendly, warm personality made us feel comfortable right away. As first-time visitors to Egypt, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. She also took great photos for us, which we really appreciated.

“AVOID THIS GUIDE”

DO NOT USE THIS TOUR GUIDE. We were a group of 15 people, including two babies, and had already paid a deposit before the tour began. At the first lunch stop, the guide unexpectedly told us we had to pay $15 for food and a “view” of the pyramids, which had never been communicated beforehand. After negotiating, we paid $7 for a drink (pepsi, Mirinda's or juices) and the view, which turned out to be poor and partially obstructed. The restaurant conditions were unacceptable, with no water in the bathrooms, and staff removed complimentary items and closed curtains when we chose not to buy food. After this, the guide’s attitude worsened, and she stopped providing meaningful explanations during the tour. At the papyrus stop, she mocked us to others for not spending money earlier, which was highly unprofessional. Other stops, including perfume oils and the Nile, felt like attempts to push additional spending rather than provide a genuine experience, and involved extra costs and delays. At Al Azhar Mosque, the guide told us to find our own way back to the bus, which was concerning given our group size and the babies. Although she did not ultimately leave us, we were rushed and had to catch up to her and the bus, which was parked far away. At the end of the tour, when settling payment, the guide and another individual became aggressive when we experienced signal issues with PayPal. They threatened to involve the police and made inappropriate remarks, which was distressing, especially as they were holding our belongings. Overall, the tour was poorly managed, focused heavily on extracting extra money, and failed to deliver a proper guided experience. It felt like a tourist trap rather than a worthwhile tour, and we strongly advise others to avoid it.
