We will visit the beautiful St. Stephen small church full of Byzantine frescoes, the Orsini Steeple plus the beautiful narrow streets of the historic center.
Head to Galatina (by car) to the Pasticceria Ascalone, where Pasticciotto cake was invented.
Guided tour to the beauties of Galatina and its wonderful historic center, where are located the St. Catherine Basilica - The visit to the St. Catherine Basilica will amaze you! Its stunning fresco cycle is second only to the one in Assisi because its frescos (XIII century), St. Paul Chapel, famous for the phenomenon of the Tarantate and the Mother Church.
Lunch break at sea and visit of Gallipoli in the afternoon.
Walking tour in the narrow and windy streets of the historic center of the sea town, situated on a rock in the sea filled with wonderful churches (St. Agatha, Purity, and St. Francis) and monuments in "Gallipolino" baroque style.
Last but not least the visit of Gallipoli and its island. We will finish the day enjoying an aperitif at my favourite place to experience also the best sunset!
