Piazza Duomo is the center of the city and the square dedicated to Duomo: cathedral and symbol of the city since 1386.
We have the opportunity to visit the rooftop, the inside of the cathedral and the archeological area underground with a skip-the-line access. Looking around we can see Palazzo reale, Museo del Novecento and the statue dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele.
We walk through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the first shopping mall in the world: and amazing centre of elegance and fun with a very innovative architecture. We look at details on the floor and on the dome and at the incredible shops and restaurants.
We reach piazza Scala and the temple of music and opera: Teatro alla Scala. The opera House hosts the greatest international artists since 1778! We look at the other interesting architectures in the square and learn about the life and work of Leonardo da Vinci, whom the statue in the centre of the square is dedicated to.
Walking through the modern via Dante we can reach the Sforza Castle. A fortress in the past, an elegant renaissance residence of the dukes Sforza, it is nowadays a gem for culture and history thanks to the stunning collections of its museums. We visit the Parco Sempione, a beautiful and peaceful park.
We visit the pictoresque neighbourhood of Brera, the "art district" , with its alleys full of charme and history and enter in the Academy of art, a great university still nowadays.
