“Unforgettable James Bond Experience in Venice”
We booked the James Bond Moonraker tour in Venice with Al, and it was truly the highlight of our trip. From the very first moment, Al’s enthusiasm, deep knowledge of both Bond films and Venetian history, and his engaging storytelling made the tour unforgettable. He brought the movie scenes to life right in front of us, pointing out filming locations, sharing fascinating behind-the-scenes facts, and weaving them together with anecdotes about the city’s culture and architecture. Al was patient and adapted the pace perfectly for us. His passion for the subject is contagious, and his friendly personality made it feel more like being shown around by an old friend than by a guide. If you’re a Bond fan—or simply want to see Venice from a unique and exciting perspective—this tour with Al is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

“Great day trip to Pompeii”
Andrea P made our trip to Pompeii a seamless experience. We were traveling with older guests needing special accommodations and Andrea was extremely helpful with this. He arrived to pick us up a few minutes early, and the ride was comfortable. He was very engaging and our conversations were helpful for the rest of our stay and also interesting. He told us great history and has excellent knowledge of this and Italian culture. He was easy to have very pleasant conversation. He had a great place for us to stop for lunch and had arranged an excellent tour guide for us at Pompeii. When arranging this trip a few months ago he was very prompt with responses and information. We would definitely book another tour with him.

In general, don’t bring any weapons or illegal substances with you. If you wish to bring your pet or live plants with you, you will also need to obtain proper import documentation. Fresh foods (meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables) also require relevant permits. These rules apply to most countries.
- Check visa requirements if you are entering the country from outside of the EU.
- Take some cash with you (Euros), many smaller shops and markets may not accept cards.
- Learn some basic Italian phrases, though basic English proficiency is relatively common.
- Invest in a Eurail pass and use public transportation (trains, subways, buses, etc.).
- If you’re going to rent a car, remember that Italians drive on the right. Streets can also get very narrow in some cities, so drive with caution.
- Tipping is not required, but you can leave a small tip for good service if you like.
- Skip the fast food and try out the amazing local food and wine that Italy is famous for!
Your best bet is to plan your tour around the weather. That being said, the summer months (June - August) are the busiest and also the hottest and sees Italy’s beaches fill up with revelers. For some milder weather, spring (March - May) and autumn (September - November) are good choices and may be a little quieter depending on where you’re traveling. That obviously leaves winter, which can get cold and wet. We’d only really recommend a winter trip if you’re heading to the ski resorts of the Italian Alps.
Italy is generally a safe country and mostly friendly to tourists. Pickpockets and other petty crime can occur though, so we’d recommend not flaunting your valuables and keeping an eye on your surroundings when in crowded areas. Tap water is clean and safe to drink in most places as well.
Yes, wearing shorts in Italy is totally acceptable, in fact it’s recommended during the summer months! The only exception to this rule is when entering churches or other places of worship. Here you are expected to wear closed shoes and cover your knees and shoulders.
Having a private tour guide accompany you will help ensure you get the most out of your Italian tour experience. Our guides can not only take you to the best spots, use their experience as locals to show you the country’s hidden gems, and generally take care of details such as transportation, scheduling, and travel recommendations.
