Experience the Korean Traditional Market vibe!
Gwangjang Traditional Market differs from any other marketplace. The market has a unique atmosphere where the young and older generations get together with drinks and food. You will see how Korean enjoys foods/drinks in one of the biggest markets.
Let's explore must-visit local restaurants and experience Korean drinking culture!
At Gwangjang Traditional Market (Subject to change)
- Meet-up time is at 2 pm in front of Jongno 5(o)-ga station exit number 8 (The meet-up time and place are subject to change upon request).
When arriving at the market, we will have a short walking tour (15 mins) and look around the market. There, you will see street vendors and may taste some of the street foods. After the short walking tour, we can go to the second-hand clothing district. The district is hidden in the market and you will see the long/narrow aisles where so many vendors are displaying trendy clothes (This district tour is optional).
The Bean Pancake restaurant is so popular even the movie director, Tim Burton visited and put his cute character signature on the wall. The place is normally vividly crowded, so you will feel the energy and vibe from people around.
Here is the list of the food and drinks you will experience:
- Bean Pancake with soy sauce mixed with onion
- Meatball Pancake
- Yukhoe (Raw beef sashimi) (Optional)
- Makgeolli (Korean-style rice wine) (I will show you how Korean drinks Makgeolli in different ways)
Do not miss the chance of experiencing street foods! There, you will try some Korean street foods outside, and here is the list of the foods you will try:
- Kimbap (Korean Rolls)
- Fishcakes
- Variety of seafood (Mostly stimmed)
- At 5:30 pm, the tour will end and we farewell at the Jongno 5(o)-ga station exit 8 (The farewell time and place are subject to change upon request).

Ikseon-dong, Hanok Village & Korean Night Bistro Night Tour
“Unique opportunity for a night out like a local”
This tour gave us an authentic glimpse of what the local night life is like, an experience that I highly doubt we wouldve been able to stumble upon ourselves. We've visited the same area during the day time but at night when Daniel took us to the same spots, the area has completely transformed. In addition to eating at the tents, we were also able to visit local bars. Daniel was an excellent guide. He's friendly, approachable, able to tailor the tour based on your interests, and explain nuances about Korean night culture. This tour offers a very unique experience and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a night out like a local.

Ikseon-dong, Hanok Village & Korean Night Bistro Night Tour
“Truly a gentleman!”
Thank you for the wonderful night walk and "That" style bistro which I often watch in Korean dramas. You made my dream come true. This is my 6th visit of Seoul, but never had a chance to enjoy local tent bistro with a local mate. Stopping at fortune telling cafe posed you a three straight full translation and it was a lot of help for us. Two of my friends were also impressed by your sophisticated way of attending us. You are knowledgable, such as, religion topic and politics.Thank you very much.
