Oskar enrique M.
I am a young historian who has been working as a tour guide for 4 years. During this time I have met people from all over the world, which has taught me a lot about interacting with all kinds of people as well as showing my city in an authentic and interesting way. I like to take people to places that show another side of Mexico City, a closer perspective of how its inhabitants live day to day. I also enjoy taking photographs on my tours.

With more than 25 years of experience in both national and international Travel Industry and with a multicultural past, I continue to enjoy sharing México´s incredible past, from its multiethnic pre hispanic cultures , to its lively cosmopolitan present that greets us with a vast cultural offer (museums, galleries, theaters and concert halls ) a rich gastronomy (with a variety of ethnoastronomical market corners to the most exclusive offer of Michelin star restaurants). Mexico is a cultural mosaic sharing its ancient past along with its Iberian roots that are an amalgam of Greco-Latin , Goth, Moorish, and Jewish influences, that sprout in the white smile and cheerful expressions of its inhabitants who are proud of their mix race heritage and they expressed it in everyday life though music dance , festivals, cooking , and art all shared with passion. Allow me to help you discover the many faces of Mexico by sharing its past and its present with a smile on our faces. Welcome to Mexico!!

Jacqueline F.
Hello my name is Jacqueline but some call me Jackie. I’m a native of the San Francisco Bay Area from a Mexican-Spanish household. I grew up bilingual and would visit family in Mexico City once or twice a year since childhood. After high school I came to stay for a year and never left! My Mexican culture is very dear to me and I’ve always been in love with the cultural wealth that my Motherland offers me. Though I’ve worked in several different areas of interest such as performing arts, yoga, ESL, interpretation and translation, I decided to certify as a tour guide with the Ministry of Tourism in Mexico and have been giving tours since 2014. I specialize in Mexican Muralism and Religious Tourism.

Mexico City Tour Reviews
Michael S.
“A 'tour de force' highly impactful and memorable stay much enhanced by Rafael's experience, personality and efforts.”
We were most fortunate to engage Rafael for three days while in Mexico City. He curated a most extra-ordinary experience that immersed us in the long and complex arc of Mexican history covering pre-Columbian empires, Spanish colonialism and the modern tumult since independence. He was highly knowledgeable about details but wrapped the information in digestible bites that were both impactful and memorable with just the right touch of humor. He was flexible and responsive, adjusting aspects as we went along based on interests and energy levels. He also provided us with some 'out of the usual lanes' experiences that included the culinary. We would highly recommend Rafael if you are considering a stay in Mexico.

“Discover the traditional side of Xochimilco”
We had a wonderful experience touring Xochimilco with Oskar. Our group included my parents (in their 70s) and my two teenage sons. Before the tour even began, Oskar was incredibly accommodating. When my son was sick on the originally scheduled day, he was flexible and helped us reschedule to another day. Oskar picked us up in a comfortable van with a driver, and after talking through what we were most interested in, he thoughtfully adjusted the itinerary to fit our preferences. We started with a stop at a flower market that was absolutely beautiful with rows of flowers and plants as far as you could see. It wasn’t the typical market in Xochimilco, and it’s somewhere we never would have found on our own. Oskar’s knowledge and personal stories about visiting there as a child made the experience even more meaningful. From there, we headed to Xochimilco, where he had a boat ready for us. The ride was beautiful and relaxing, but what made it especially memorable was that Oskar arranged for us to stop at one of the chinampas—the traditional “floating gardens” of the area. We were able to walk through the farm and speak with the owner about the generations of families who have worked there and how they sell their flowers and plants. It was a unique, personal experience that we would not have had on our own. On the way back, we stopped at a delicious local restaurant, which was a perfect ending to the day. Oskar’s background in history really enhanced the tour, but what stood out most was how personable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring he was throughout the experience. We would 100% recommend booking a tour with Oskar.
