I’ve been working as a tour guide for over 8 years, starting from scratch and gaining experience with some of the biggest tour operators in Lisbon. Over time, my passion for exploring, studying, and sharing the best of Portugal — from north to south — led me to become a full-time private guide, studying and certifying myself as an officially licensed tourist guide by the Portuguese Republic.
Throughout these years, I’ve been constantly deepening my historical knowledge while guiding travelers, which not only expanded my understanding of Portugal, but also sparked a genuine curiosity for different cultures and traditions. That’s what drives me to design unique, off-the-beaten-path experiences across the country — always aiming to deliver something authentic, local and memorable.
I describe my job simply: to give you the perfect day, tailored to your pace and preferences, in the region (or regions!) that interest you most in our small paradise.

“A true professional”
We were delighted to spend a day with Gonçalo in Lisboa. He picked us up promptly at our hotel as arranged and we spent the entire day learning and living in this great city. We had hit some of the more typical highlights on a different tour with a different guide a few days earlier, so Gonçalo was able to tailor our itinerary on-the-fly to give us more in-depth info and help us experience his city more fully. He paced our activities well and eagerly answered questions. We loved his recommendation for a post-tour neighborhood adventure at the local saint's festival. This was obviously not a "canned" presentation and he was always energetic with great concern for our comfort and enjoyment. He radiates love for and pride in Lisboa. We had an incredible time and can not recommend him enough. 10 stars!

Thank you so much for this incredible review! I’m truly happy to hear that the day felt personal, meaningful and full of real Lisbon spirit. It was a real pleasure adapting the tour to your interests and sharing some local color — especially the festival! I always try to make each experience unique, and it means a lot to know that came through. Wishing you all the best and hopefully… até à próxima! Gonçalo Cruz
