This tour will take you to Évora, an UNESCO world heritage site, where medieval streets, beautiful typical Portuguese houses and iconic places coexist.
Onwards, you will cross the local countryside towards the border with Spain to discover Monsaraz Castle, one of the conquered and gaven castles to the Knights Templar order. Explore its medieval streets surrounded by stunning views of the Alentejo plains, surronded by the largest artificial lake in Europe.

Start the tour heading south, passing over the 25th April bridge at Lisbon also known as the Golden Gate replica, and enjoy the countryside on the way to Évora.

Chapel of Bones
Visit the famous Chapel of Bones, reflection on the transience of human life and the consequent commitment to a permanent Christian experience.
Both the walls and the pillars are covered with a few thousand bones and skulls from the burial spaces connected to the convent.

King Manuel Palace and gardens
Take a walk and admire the beauty of King Manuel's Palace and its gardens, ordered to be built by D. Afonso V, who wanted to have a royal palace outside the castle in the city to settle in.

Visit Evora's local market and discover its local products that has to offer. Have some free time for lunch or a quick bite while exploring the surrondings and shopping before crossing the local countryside towards the border of Spain.
Monsaraz Castle
Enjoy the 45 minute ride through Portugal's off the beaten path countryside on the way to Monsaraz Castle.
Explore its medieval streets surrounded by stunning views of the Alentejo plains, where you can also see the largest artificial river beach in Europe.
