Évora Cathedral, Roman Temple,

Our private walking tour begins at the impressive Évora Cathedral, built between 1186 and 1204. I’ll then guide you to the iconic Roman Temple, one of the best-preserved Roman monuments on the Iberian Peninsula.

Praça do Giraldo

As we stroll through Praça do Giraldo, Évora’s lively main square, I’ll share stories of local life, traditions, and history. We’ll also visit the historic University of Évora, founded in 1559.

Church of St. Francis, Bone Chapel

Next, I’ll take you to the Church of St. Francis and the unforgettable Bone Chapel, one of Portugal’s most intriguing and thought-provoking sites.

Lunch

You’ll have free time for lunch in Évora, and I’ll be happy to recommend my favorite local restaurants.

Monsaraz

In the afternoon, I’ll drive you through olive groves and cork oak landscapes to Monsaraz, a beautifully preserved medieval hilltop village overlooking the Alqueva Lake and the Spanish border. On our way back, we’ll stop at a prehistoric menhir, offering a glimpse into Portugal’s ancient past.
