Although I am not a Spanish/Catalan guide, I have a different view about Barcelona & Spain, being an Asian/Vietnamese girl who has been working and travelling all around Spain. Nowadays, there are a lot of Digital nomads who would like to combine working and travelling at the same time. I can say that I am one of them. I have experience in living abroad (Vietnam, Spain & Portugal) and going through all the process of relocation to Barcelona so that I can share with you if you are interested in moving to Barcelona. When I left my hometown Düsseldorf in 1999 to move to Barcelona, the Catalan capital was rather a polluted, shady and even dangerous industrial site than the trendy and cosmopolitan tourist destination it is nowadays. I came into town as a photographer and event manager and despite of Barcelona's guff post-industrial charm I was instantly overwhelmed by the creativity and passion of its people, their way of seeing things and to live their lives. With the time I got more and more attracted by tourism and achieved work experience as a property manager and travel consultor. Finally, I launched my own little travel consultancy in 2016 and since that I am offering luxury accommodations, DMC / concierge services and a wide range of day tours and group activities. My core business are private day tours from Barcelona to destinations like Girona, Tarragona, Sitges, Vic, Besalú or areas like Costa Brava, Penedés or Priorat. My mission is to leave the beaten path and to make my customers discover unique historical sites, beautiful landscapes, vibrant street life and amazing food and wine experiences. For the tour we use a comfy, private SUV that fits 4 passengers + driver / guide. The tours can be done in English, Spanish, French and German and they can generally be customised to meet the interests and needs of the group at any time. During the tour you get an idea of the long and diverse history of the sites, local traditions s.a. insights about lifestyle, culture and social concerns.

“Carlos created a great custom tour!”
We arrived by ship to Barcelona too early for check-in at hotel. Carlos picked us up at the port and toured us around Barcelona for eight hours including a delightful lunch at a lesser-known food market (not Boqueria which is over-subscribed). We did a lot of walking and driving, and our tour ended with a drop-off at our hotel, so we also saved on taxis from port to hotel. Carlos speaks flawless English, and he was an excellent communicator during the days leading to our arrival to plan our tour together. All perfect!

“Phillippe Your Go To!!”
The tours of Sagrada Familia and Park Guell were wonderful and the narrative Phillipe provided was excellent, on point, and insightful. The moment that remains most vivid in our minds is Phillipe’s explanation of the way the engineering enables the light to transform the Sagrada space. Phillippe took the time to slow the pace and increase the volume for our elderly father. He was patient and I would HIGHLY recommend him for any excursion .

“Fabulous Day with Jordy”
Our day trip with Jordy to the Costa Brava was perfect! We enjoyed strolling botanical gardens, an amazing scenic hike along the coast, and a visit to a medieval village with lunch in a local favorite restaurant.
