Meeting Point
Passeig de Gracia 1, right before the Apple Store for a dynamic route
Introduction to Barcelona's Exiample.
XIX century, the industrial revolution arrives and the city sees the need to tear down its walls and expand. The "new Barcelona" is designed as a result of a project. All this new technology opens the doors to creativity and "Catalan Modernism" or "Catalan Art Nouveau" is born.
Casa Lleo i Morera
This private house represents the elegance of details. Working on the building were the forty best craftsmen of the period, following the orders of the arquitect Lluís Domènech i Montaner (Gaudi's teacher).
The facade of this building hides a lot of information about the family and society of the time, our job will be to unveil it!
Casa Ametller
The chocolatier Amatller wanted to move into this custom palace with his daughter. He entrusted the work to the prestigious architect Puig i Cadafalch, a great fan of medieval styles.
This bourgeois Señor will become one of the most controversial figures in Barcelona's upper class, mainly because of the industry he was involved in: CHOCOLATE!
The architect decides to capture it on the facade of his new house. Let's discover it!
Casa Batlló
This house is poetry. The creativity of the genius Antoni Gaudi taken to the extreme. Modernist house taken that looks that has been taken from a fairy tale, Gaudi will tell a story on its facade, a story of a knight who kills a dragon to save a princess in danger. The story of Saint George, the patron saint of Catalunya. Our job will be to open our minds and discover it.
Casa Milá
One of Gaudí's most unique work. It breaks with the physiognomy of the avenue. Its construction generated a great deal of controversy in the early 1900's. Barcelonans gave it the nickname "La Pedrera," (the quarry) which refers to the type of creamy white stone used that comes from the quarries of the surrounding region.
Although this house is an architectural masterpiece, its construction was very controversial both for the city and for its future owners... The Milá couple. Let's discover why...
Sagada Familia / Gaudí's facade - The Nativity Scene
History of the Monument and facade symbols to be unveiled.
Sagrada Familia / Subirachs' facade - The Passion
Most contemporary facade of the monument to date. With a unique style, very different from Gaudí's, Subirachs will leave his mark with a facade full of content and emotions. Our job will be to interpret it, understand the symbolism and at the end we will issue our own judgment... whether we love it or not.
Ending Point
Sagrada Familia / Subirachs - Passion façade

Hola!
Welcome to Barcelona! I'm Agustina and I'd love to be your guide, but first let me tell you a bit about who am I and what we're going to be discovering together :)
I was born in Argentina, studied Art History, and as soon as I finished my studies I wanted to travel the world and see new places. 12 years later, I'm still on this side of the Ocean, 9 of which I've been working as a professional tour guide in Ireland, Portugal, and Barcelona!
When I arrived in Barcelona, I fell in love with this city, because it's a place that HAS IT ALL.
Amazing architecture, very interesting history, very rich in culture, great weather, fantastic cuisine and coastline, what else could you ask for?
All of these things that I really love about Barcelona are what I'd love to showcase to you, so if I do a good job. . . you'll finish my tour liking this city as much as I do. Mission accomplished!
The things I love the most in life are to keep discovering new things, learning, growing, and getting to share them with others. I LOVE TELLING STORIES and I consider myself so fortunate to match my two biggest passions through my job: Art History and Storytelling!
Come and join me on a tour, let me show you why Barcelona is so unique, a place that has many spots that need to be revealed, many secrets to be told, and many stories you'll never forget. Let me guide you through your journey :)
