“Great tour, friendly knowledgeable and fun”
Albert met us at the airport with his very comfortable Mercedes that was able to hold all our luggage, Albert was very friendly and took the time to explain everything. We wanted to modify our schedule and change the times of some of the attractions, and he worked with our schedule. We couldn't have been more pleased. Definately ***** John P

“Great introduction to Barcelona!”
If you're new to Barcelona and want an overview of the city then I highly recommend that you take this tour with Andre. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day and we covered a lot of the old city's highlights, the Gothic Quarter, Montjuic and the Barcelona Olympic stadium etc. Andre is very knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and Spain, and will keep you interested and entertained.
Discover Barcelona’s allure with a local, private tour guide who transforms your tour dreams into long-lasting, vibrant memories for you and your loved ones.
Welcome to Barna, where Spanish culture comes alive! As the heart of Catalonia, exploring Barcelona with a local who knows both the language ad culture that is unique to this region. From learning Catalan phrases, to taking on festivals in the Gracía neighborhood, a Barcelona tour guide ensures you private access to a lifestyle beyond the common tourist attractions. Even if you want to tour the famous sites, La Sagrada Família and Park Güell become more than a must-see attraction with a local by your side who reveals the deeper intricacies of these iconic sites.
For those that love the calmer side of life, a private guide can take you to the enchanting Labyrinth Park of Horta, a historic garden with a neoclassical maze that offers a peaceful retreat and a unique adventure. Another hidden treasure to take on with a local tour guide is the Bunkers del Carmel, which offers panoramic views of the city without the crowds, perfect for those looking to capture stunning photographs and enjoy a serene moment above Barcelona
A tour guide is ideal in Barcelona if you’re looking for comfort, easy access (skip the line benefits), convenience when planning, local knowledge and time saving tips. If you are used to self-navigating, planning your own itineraries, like to use guidebooks and online maps, and can speak a little Catalan and Spanish, a guide may not be needed. Depending on your travel preferences, restrictions and style, a guide helps with understanding culture, learning about history and of course, bridging the communication gap.
By far, the best way to tour Barcelona City is by walking. The second best, and equally enjoyable way is touring like locals with an e-bike, Segway or scooter. Thirdly, you can engage in several boat tours along Costa Brava. You can check out some of our walking, biking and boat tours on our Barcelona Private tours page.
Generally 2–3 days in Barcelona will give you enough time to hit the major attractions (La Sagrada Família, Park Güell, The Gothic Quarter) and enjoy the food and entertainment scene. You can even take a day trip to destinations like Montserrat, Sitges or Girona. Here’s what a 3-Day itinerary of Barcelona’s greatest hits would look like;
Day 1: A Historical & Cultural Highlights Tour - Take on the city that has over 60 museums, several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and of course, a lot of food. From the tasty cuisine along the Gothic Quarter, to the vibrant and passionate flamenco dances, a day spent soaking in Barcelona’s heart is a must.
Day 2: Food, Drinks & Unique Experiences - Half of the reason we travel is to try new foods, and Barcelona’s cuisine is second to none! From the sweet Sangria to endless tapas and paella, a Barcelona street food & restaurant tour is essential.
Day 3: A Good Day For A Day Trip: Luckily enough, Barcelona is surrounded by some breathtaking scenery of its own. From the Montserrat Monastery, to a slow sailing cruise around the 4.2 k waterfront, you can see a whole new side of the Barcelona region within a few hours, and make it back in time for evening dinner.
Yes! With its flat streets, easily navigable transport, and most of all, centrally located attractions, Barcelona is a very easy city to explore on foot. Even if you do get tired of walking, there are several ebikes, Segways and accessible buses to help your journey run smoothly.
The Park Güell, the most visited attraction in Barcelona, with over 4.6 million visitors annually, is an Antoni Gaudí masterpiece. Not surprisingly, in second place is the La Sagrada Família, with over 100 years of (still ongoing) construction and over 3.7 million visitors.
Here are some quick tips you should remember for your Barcelona visit;
Yes! You can’t get the full story of the world’s tallest art nouveau church without walking its halls. It's definitely worth the time spent learning about the different elements that make up this historic site. You can further enhance your knowledge by hiring a guide to take you through the Sagrada Família.
