“A truely warm and welcoming tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima”
Pancho was an amazing guide, taking the time to plan the trip ensuring from when we arrived we could see as much of Hiroshima and Miyajima as possible. His knowledge was amazing, it was such a special experience to see all of the sights and have the history and stories behind each of them. We loved being able to try traditional food on the island of Miyajima. Overall It was a once in a lifetime experience!

“Perfect tour guide!”
We had a wonderful time with Pancho! The pace of the tour was perfect with occasional rests while he explained the history of Hiroshima. We made some origami and had a wonderful traditional lunch! I would definitely hire Pancho! (Also, his English was great, no problem understanding anything!)

“Wishing Pancho was our guide everywhere in Japan”
The visit to Hiroshima was powerful and emotionally intense—especially hearing the story firsthand from someone whose family lived through the bombing. It was profound. Pancho planned the day perfectly, allowing time not only to absorb the weight of Hiroshima but also to visit Miyajima Island and its iconic floating torii gate. Afterward, we returned with enough time to walk through the Peace Park and finish at the museum. This sequence matters: the museum is an incredibly heavy experience, so ending the day there feels right. What sets Pancho apart is more than his flawless timing. He’s warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely likeable. His storytelling comes from a balanced, middle perspective, which makes it even more compelling. Pancho turned what was already an important visit into one of the most memorable experiences of our two weeks in Japan. Both he—and this deeply meaningful tour—are not to be missed.

Hi Patrick, thank you so much for your wonderful review to the tour! That was a great day, not only for you and your company, but also to me as a guide and local too. I really glad that day was memorable. We enjoyed perfect timing to see the floating torii gate at perfect timing. Visiting Atomic-Bomd Dome, hearing stories are too emotional, some tours provides you only from limited perspectives. However, I really happy/proud to hear we shared middle perspectives stories, feelings which I really pay attention, thank you! On top on that, I was happy to introduce our local comfort food, and "pickey eaters(according to you)" liked it, finished all:-) as an unofficial Hiroshima-style Okonomiyajiki ambassadar. Thank you for joining, that was a memorable day to me too, Have a nice trip! Pancho

My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

Kahori M.
Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed guide interpreter, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors. Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers. I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and my love for this city led me to switch from nursing to guiding. As a guide, I specialize in Hiroshima city downtown, Miyajima, Futaba no Sato, Onomichi, and Tomo-no-Ura. I also introduce secret photo spots and hidden gems. Using my experience as a nurse, I prioritize meticulous care and bring my natural brightness, aiming to provide a guide experience that allows you to fully enjoy Hiroshima.
