The highlights of this tour are the Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima. In the Peace Park and Peace Memorial Museum, you will learn that the atomic bomb deprived the citizens of Hiroshima of their future and feel the strength of the human race.
We will then head to Miyajima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Enjoy the unique Itsukushima Shrine and Otorii floating on the sea, and the majestic Daisho-in Temple. For lunch, try Hiroshima's soul food okonomiyaki or delicious oysters.

My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades.
I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors.
I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences.
I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular.
I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

“Excellent tour of Miyajima”
This was our first ever private tour and Miyu set the standard very high for others to meet! Miyu was prompt, efficient, easy to talk with and knew how to move us from A to B to C without us feeling rushed. She offered a wealth of knowledge about the various sites…and suggested good photo ops. She was exceedingly kind to extend her day when the ropeway had a long long line. We could have skipped if, but it was part of the itinerary and we are so glad we stuck with the plan despite the line. The views were excellent. Miyu is in great shape and walks fast which we appreciated. However, while we bogged down on the hills and the steps, she was able to keep her same speedy pace. She kindly adjusted her speed to ours which no doubt felt like pace of a snail. We learned so much about the shrines, temples, torii gates, etc all while absorbing the fine views. Miyu is very personable and her fine skills as a tour guide were greatly enjoyed and appreciated. I would recommend this tour with Miyu to everyone who would like to learn more about Miyajima. It was an excellent day! Thank you Miyu!! We so enjoyed meeting you! Sally & Frank

I sincerely appreciate your kind words. It’s a great honor and pleasure to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your visit to Miyajima. We were blessed with wonderful weather, and I was delighted to have been able to show you the Great Torii gate standing in the sea at high tide. I truly appreciate having spent the day with you both. You were so kind, calm, and full of humor, and it was a real pleasure to be your guide.

“Miyu taught me the meaning of paper Cranes”
Our tour with Miyu was more amazing than I could have imagined! She had so much direct knowledge from people who experienced what happened, and was able to describe it in a kind, heartfelt way. She taught me how the folded cranes represent the importance of always striving for peace and understanding so that what happened in Hiroshima will never happen again. Miyu was very flexible when we got tired, and changed the schedule. We also enjoyed a mutual enjoyment of baseball, since the day of our tour was a world series day. What an unforgettable day! Thank you so much Miyu!!
