Hi, I'm Kahori, a nationally licensed guide interpreter, and have just started working with GoWithGuide! I’m delighted to show people around this area. For the past almost 10 years, I have mainly guided foreign medical professionals around Hiroshima City and Miyajima, gaining a deep understanding of the effects of radiation and the support for A-bomb survivors.
Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. Personally, I am very passionate about modern art and enjoy sports like stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on our rivers.
I look forward to meeting you, interacting with you, and also, learning from you!

Our experience with Kahori as our local guide in Hiroshima was truly exceptional. From the moment we met her at the Hilton Hiroshima hotel, her warm and welcoming face set the tone for a memorable day. Kahori shared many fascinating stories and historical facts throughout the tour, enriching our understanding of Hiroshima's past and culture. Her extensive knowledge was evident as she guided us through the beautiful Shukkeien Garden, where we enjoyed a peaceful stroll amidst the meticulously maintained landscapes. Kahori's insights into the garden's history and design added a rich layer of understanding to our visit. Her engaging storytelling continued as we explored Hiroshima Castle, bringing the castle's history to life and making our visit both educational and enjoyable. The highlight of our tour was undoubtedly the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Kahori's respectful and informative approach to this poignant site helped us grasp the profound significance of Hiroshima's past and its message of peace. Her ability to navigate the museum and highlight key exhibits ensured we made the most of our time there. Overall, Kahori's professionalism, knowledge, and friendly personality made our half-day tour of Hiroshima an unforgettable experience. “100 of out 10! ”
We had a fantastic day with Ms. Kahori. My kids loved the tour and rated it "100 out of 10", "best tour we ever had" (and we have had many tours). In the morning, she showed us the wonderful sights of Miyajima Island. We didn't know much of the island except the Torii gate, but she showed us so much and we wholeheartedly loved it. For lunch, we had okonomiyaki. She even made a reservation for us at a local restaurant on the island, so we could sit down and order as soon as we arrived, which saved a lot of waiting time. In the afternoon, we went to the Peace museum. It was a dark part of our history, but important for us and the kids to see. However, there was also a bright side to it. During our train ride to the museum, she showed us how to make origami paper cranes, which was great fun for the kids, and perfectly timed, since subsequently the kids decided to dedicate their cranes at the monuments we visited. She was extremely friendly and patient, and great to be around!

Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly wonderful to spend time with such a lovely family like yours. The conversations with your children, as well as with both of you as parents and scientists, were very meaningful and precious to me. The earnest and lively expressions on your children's faces have become a treasure in my heart! Thank you!
