I often do Mt.Fuji or Hakone tour. In many cases, the locations are mixed up between Mt.Fuji Five Lakes area and Hakone area, which are not the same place. Please refer to the map I uploaded on gallery to check the sites you are interested in. Also my blogs will help your understanding both areas - "The location difference of Mt.Fuji (Fuji Five Lakes) and Hakone". As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. But more than that, I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. I worked for a machinery company as a project manager and engineer for mechanical and electrical construction projects both domestic and overseas for over 35 years. I recall my first overseas project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when I was 26, and the second was in Singapore. I visited many countries for surveys, meetings, commissioning, project handing over, and so on. In 2014 at the age of 60, I decided to retire from the company and live the expected further 30 years of life with a new career and experiences. I, then, studied translation and guide interpretation. I passed the national examination for licensed guides (English) in 2015 and registered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in February 2016. Until now, I have been guiding many beautiful guests mainly to popular sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Omote-Sando, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Tokyo Skytree, and also cultural experiences of Origami making, Furoshiki wrapping, and Sushi cooking. I am happy that I can freely arrange a customized tour together with you, or can propose my tours to you. I want to show you some parts of daily Tokyo life and introduce you to Bunkyo City which is located in the heart of Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live a happy life now. Now, we can tour around the world but have not yet overcome COVID-19 completely. Recently, the number of passengers wearing masks on public transportation in Tokyo reduced to some 25% but we should mind about it still. Please carry your mask to wear it where or when necessary (December 2024, Yamasan).

“Easy day of touring for my 83 yr old mother and I ”

I organized a full day of touring in/ around Hakone for my 83 yr old mother and I with Yuki. He was wonderful to communicate with prior to arriving in Japan. Yuki gave me several options for places to visit that would accommodate my mother’s limited mobility as well as some needed travel tips. We met up with Yuki when there was a big storm passing through so we adjusted our plan - my mom had also wanted to incorporate more shopping. Yuki was so flexible, thoughtful regarding my mom’s needs, easy to be with and an excellent driver! He brought us to the volcano lookout, then to a nice local shopping area, followed by a fantastic Udon noodle lunch and last we visited a samurai exhibit at a castle. He even stopped at a 7-11 to help me choose candy to bring back to the states! Yuki was interesting to talk with/ learn about life in Japan and he speaks outstanding English as he has travelled to America many times. I would highly recommend touring with Yuki!

“Day trip to Hakone”

We had a great visit in Hakone led by Tan F. She is very enthusiastic and is flexible in scheduling trips to ensure her guests get to experience the sights they most want to see. It is so much easier to leave the driving to someone local rather than having to navigate bus/walking routes, especially as Hakone is quite hilly and the narrow roads can get very busy. With a private tour, you and Tan F. can work out where you want to go and how long you do/do not want to stay, which my husband and I think is well worth the extra cost vs a larger group tour.

“It was a great experience”

Yumico is a very friendly Tourguide. She planed and managed everything perfect. Because of the weather she changed the programm a little bit. We received great information from her. And what luck! When we got off the cable car at the mountain ridge, the clouds parted and, as a crowning finale, revealed a view of Mount Fuji.
