Hi and welcome! My name is Alan, I am 44 years old, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, and having lived in Australia, Holland, Israel and Argentina, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists. I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French). In my private tours in Rio de Janeiro I use a 7-seater car (including me as rio de janeiro driver guide), and my motivation is to be flexible and to offer you tailor-made tours in Rio, customized to your needs and desires, optimizing your time in Rio. What I look for in each tour, is to provide you with an experience that you will remember for many years to come!

“Absolutely perfect in every respect”

Guilherme was the kind of person you feel you've known all you life he's warm, knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best guides we've ever had. Would recommend going out of your way to stop in Rio to see Guilherme, which is what we did on our way to Buenos Aires from Washington DC. Arriving in Rio at 9 AM, participating in the Tour then heading back to the airport to catch a flight to Buenos Aires. Guilherme provided a fantastic tour of Rio at our pace and convenience, taking the long way around town so we could get a better look at things.

“Sightseeing in Rio”

My husband and I booked a day tour of Rio with Pierre. He was very prompt and met us at our hotel. Pierre was very flexible with the itinerary and tailored the tour to what we wanted to see. “Great for families with kids!”

We had an amazing experience touring Rio with Flavio! He was fantastic with our kids—patient, fun, and made the entire experience enjoyable for the whole family. His relaxed and personalized approach made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend rather than just a tour guide. Every stop felt meaningful, not rushed, and he shared so many interesting insights along the way. On top of that, Flavio gave us great tips throughout our trip, from restaurant recommendations to local spots we wouldn’t have discovered on our own.
