Ali S.
I am an English-speaking, licensed Egyptologist tour guide, born and raised in Luxor, with a true passion for sharing the treasures of my hometown and country with visitors from around the world. With years of experience working for leading international tour companies, I specialize in guiding travelers through Luxor and Upper Egypt, while also offering tours in Luxor, Aswan, Edfu, KomOmbo, Dendera, and Abydos, as well as other remarkable sites across Egypt. I believe that the finest monuments and stories of Egypt are found here in Upper Egypt, and it is my joy to bring this history and culture to life. For me, a tour guide is not simply a narrator but a storyteller — like an actor delivering a powerful message — who inspires guests through creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm. I offer tailor-made trips for individuals, families, and groups, carefully designed to match your interests and budget. Whenever possible, I personally accompany my guests to ensure a memorable experience. If another guide is required, I recommend only trusted colleagues who share the same high standards of professionalism and expertise. Guiding is not only my profession but also my passion: meeting new people, uncovering the wonders of Egyptian archaeology, showcasing authentic daily life, and creating unforgettable journeys through one of the world’s greatest civilizations. Let me help you experience the real Egypt—safely, comfortably, and memorably. I look forward to being your guide!

Coptic Cairo
In Coptic Cairo, Jesus is revered through sites related to the Holy Family's Flight to Egypt, particularly the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga), which is built on the cave where they are believed to have sheltered. The area also holds artistic depictions of Jesus, including frescoes at the Coptic Museum and the "Coptic Mona Lisa" icon at the Hanging Church, reflecting the deep history of Christianity in the region. Egypt Tour Reviews
Bill K.
“Nehal is amazing!”
Nehal must be Egyptian for "absolute delight" because that is what she is! We had a very long and event- packed day going to Saqqara, the Giza Plateau and the GEM along with side trips to a carpet school and papyrus shop. All along, Nehal was funny, insightful and knowledgeable. She taught us many fascinating tidbits about Egypt's history and made sure we got to do and see many different aspects of the culture. We would definitely book a tour with her again!

“Unforgettable two-day tour in Cairo”
We booked our first tour with Waleed to visit Giza pyramids and Saqqara. He was very supportive and flexible. Our magical tour guide, Ahmed, picked up us from our hotel with a private car and amazing driver, Nabeel. We visited the Giza pyramids in the morning where Ahmed explained to us the ancient history of Egypt and guide us through the site. He is very kind and knowledgeable. Our kids liked him and enjoyed the tour very much. After lunch, we went to Saqqara. It was amazing and Ahmed made it more momerabl for us with his explanation and showing us the highlights of the sites. We recommend Ahmed highly. After our first amazing day, we booked our second day to visit GEM and the citadel with them. Mina is our tour guide for the second day. Mina is very knowledgeable and showed us the highlights of the museum and told us the stories behind them. Without him, visiting the museum would have been overwhelming. We learned so much. Mina engaged our children, and kept them cheerful and interested in the ancient Egypt history and the museum. After having a stop for lunch in a local restaurant, we visited the citadel of Saladin, where Mina explained the history and the stories of the mosques and the jail. We recommend the team, they are deeply informative, patient, kind and know how to cater to all ages.

Can I tour Egypt on my own?
You can, but you shouldn’t if you’re a first time visitor. It won’t be as enjoyable, as there’s a learning curve when it comes to effectively touring Egypt. A legitimate local guide can show you the ropes, especially at tourist-heavy sites, where it can be hard to navigate the constant haggling and heavy calls to buy something.
Guides also act as a barrier between tourists and less considerate vendors. You won’t deal with aggressive sales tactics and pressure to buy a service or item.

Why can't you take pictures in Egypt?
You can, but there’s a catch. A law was passed relaxing street photography rules in 2022, so amateur photos are allowed as long as they aren’t of children, and don’t paint a negative image of the country, which is a gray area.
Why does this rule exist? The leadership’s paranoia after the 2011 Egyptian Revolution has led to stricter photography/journalism and video documentation laws in an effort to control the image of their country to the outside world.
