The Cairo Tower (sometimes called : “The Island Tower”) is a tower located in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. It was built between 1956 and 1961 from reinforced concrete in the design of the Egyptian lotus flower, designed by engineer Naoum Shebib, and is located in the heart of Cairo on Zamalek Island in the Nile River.
Its height reaches 187 meters, which is about 43 meters higher than the Great Pyramid of Giza. At the top of the Cairo Tower, there is a tourist restaurant on a revolving.
