Hi, I'm Takao. I like walking with my friends in the mountains, along rivers and beaches, and visiting historical places and museums. Usually, after enjoying these places, we take a dip in hot springs and drink beer.
As a guide, however, I'll take up places easy to walk around. I assume not many people from abroad are prepared for sweating activities.
If you like, though, I can modify my plan, connecting with a short hiking, hot bath and a drinking place.

I'm more than happy to help make your trip the most impressive one.
Why don't you get off the beaten track and visit Shinjo and Mogami regions? Shinjo City is now world-famous for its Shinjo Festival, registered by UNESCO as an Intangible World Cultural Heritage, December in 2016. I’m sure that you can definitely enjoy both the festival and the subtle harmony between man and nature in this area.

Tatsuhiro N.
It took me some 20 years to be qualified for this job and I feel honored for being able to help tourists from abroad understand our nation and culture. Japan is a beautiful country with a long history, tradition and rich cultural heritages, having various features in each of the four distinct seasons. Although there are now many visitors from abroad, mainly from Asian countries, they are mostly interested in shopping taking advantage of cheaper yen rather than understanding our people and culture. Kyoto and Nara are the two cities best known by foreign tourists, but not all the aspects of Japanese culture are concentrated there. If you visit the countryside other than these two cities, you will never fail to see the beautiful natural surroundings and people who will warmly welcome you. I wish to work as the bridge between Japanese people and tourists from all over the world.

Hello everyone!
Many thanks for checking out my profile. I'm originally from New Zealand but have spent my adult life here in Japan. The Nagoya area has been my home since the early nineties. I have witnessed the region's transformation from a sleepy industrial city to the vibrant metropolis of today. I would love the opportunity to tell you about some of my adventures and also a few of the outstanding people I've met.
I spent many years practicing karate and have also developed a deep interest in Buddhism. I speak Japanese confidently.
I'm new to GoWithGuide but have previous experience giving walking tours. To be able to introduce you to a few of my favourite Nagoya suburbs would be a treat. There are fascinating, historic temples as well as a stupa that purportedly contains a portion of the Buddha's ashes. Also, there are numerous tempting eateries and a few quirky shops. I prefer guiding guests around these less visited areas as you can get a feel for how the locals live.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Miyuki O.
Hi! I'm an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I got a job as a teacher. I love Koyasan, so I would like to help tourists as a guide only on weekends.
I also obtained the national guide qualification.I would like to expand my guide area to cover the entire Kinki region, but I like Wakayama the most because of its spiritual nature.
Isao K.
I used to work at Narita airportI for ab airline. Now I want to promote Chiba prefecture to the visitors from all over the world. I have been living in Tokyo and Chiba for more than 40 years.

Hideo M.
I am a national licensed guide - interpreter and was born and raised in Hiroshima and have lived in Hiroshima for over 60 years. I worked as an engine engineering engineer for an automobile company for 42 years. During that period, I worked on the joint engine development program with Ford Motor Company for six years and spent 3 years in Germany and acquired English communication skills.
While communicating with people from many countries both work and privately. I also learned the difficulties and joys of communicating with people from different countries. This prompted me to start working as an interpreter-guide after retiring from the automobile company.
I think that the best way to know the local culture, food and history is to meet and talk with the locals. That's why I'm here. In my tour, as a descendant of a survivor of the atomic bomb, I talk about my family history. I myself love ramen and okonomiyaki, so I often go around trying delicious okonomiyaki and ramen restaurants. Why don't you join me in trying them?

Hello! I'm Stephen, originally from London, but for over 20 years now, I've proudly called Tokyo my home. Japan is a beautiful country, and my first visit here on holiday left me deeply touched by the kindness of numerous strangers. Whether this is your first visit or you're returning to explore more, I hope our encounter will be memorable and will add to your experience of this wonderful country.
As an avid jazz fan, I love exploring the city's unique jazz kissas (cafes) and live jazz clubs, discovering hidden gems beyond the big name jazz establishments. From intimate underground spots to historic venues, Tokyo’s jazz scene is a treasure trove of musical brilliance waiting to be explored.
As a father of two young children, I understand the joys and challenges of family outings. Our weekends are filled with visits to parks, museums, and events around Greater Tokyo. Parents will know that these days out are more than just fun — they're opportunities for learning and making lasting memories. I'd be delighted to show your family some of the best kid-friendly places and fun events around the city.
Having lived in Tokyo for so long, I've become well-acquainted with its diverse neighborhoods and the expat communities spread across the city. Whether you're interested in exploring the Tokyo jazz scene, a family-friendly day out, or a leisurely stroll through Tokyo's popular expat areas ahead of a potential move, I can offer personalized tours tailored to your interests.
Let's make your visit to this incredible city truly unforgettable! I look forward to sharing my passions and expertise with you, and helping you uncover the wonders of this remarkable city!
