“Sayori san is a fantastic and personable guide”
She was able to customize our tour itinerary based on our priorities. In addition, she organized taxis at the appropriate stages, combining with trains for a more cost effective tour. She had extensive local and historical knowledge which made for an informative tour. We were able to chat about things in general too, and she demonstrated a genuine interest in our stories. She shared aspects of her life too, including about Japan. Her English is impeccable.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the tour and felt it was tailored to your priorities—that’s always my goal. I’m glad the mix of taxis and trains worked well for you and helped make the experience both smooth and cost-effective. It was a pleasure sharing local history and insights, but just as importantly, I really enjoyed our conversations and learning about your stories too. Thank you again for your warm words about my English and for being such wonderful company throughout the tour. I hope our paths cross again someday, and I wish you all the best in your future travels! Thank you Sayori

I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains. Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love. I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort. After becoming a guide, I met with guests from various backgrounds, and I feel grateful once again, for my experience to be exposed to different cultures in my youth. Let’s have a good time together!
