Meeting Point
COLÓN SQUARE
- A huge Spanish flag is easily spotted in <Plaza de Colón> and in that FLAG we MEET. (Because from them it takes twenty seconds to the Museum). Metro lines accessible to <Plaza de Colón> is the line 4. The nearest stop is <SERRANO> on line 4. The stop at <Colón> is also valid. Some people take metro line 2 and walk 10 minutes from RETIRO/Puerta de Alcalá to <COLÓN SQUARE>.
INSIDE THE MUSEUM

About the cave paintings in the subsoil of the garden, the guide will detail with photos the replicas owned by the Museum and explain the creative trend of the cave art and its elaboration.

The Museum is closed on Mondays.
Opening hours are from 9.30 am to 19.45 pm/ Except Sundays and Public Holidays when it closes at 3.00pm/

* There is a shop with intersting displays of history and prehistory in the form of souvenirs.
* There is also a cafeteria inside the museum and common rooms if you want to recharge your mobile phone in case your battery is low. Try to carry your charger. It is valid to take photos and videos outdoors and inside the museum.
Wear glasses if you are bothered by the dark, as the rock painting replicas take place with little light
On Mondays is closed the Museum.
We are also closed on 1and 15 May, 24, 25, 31 December and 1, and 6 of January.
Evening visits are possible until 9.30 am to 20.00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
