A journey through the slave history of Madrid
The trace of this "business" can still be seen in numerous places in the Spanish capital, where enslaved people influenced the configuration of the city as we know it past and present. Spain was the penultimate territory of the Atlantic World to definitively abandon slavery. This tour is the reaffirmation of the black presence in the Iberian Peninsula centuries before Christopher Columbus.
