Let's go to Toledo on a high-speed train -from 22€/person for a return trip ticket- in only 30 minutes; we will reach a historical and beautiful town where, 500 years ago, Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived in peace, being the main town for European ones then. Nowadays, there are 32 buildings considered World Heritage Sites. Magic town! We'll visit and walk outside the main areas of the three cultures: the Fortress, Jewish quarter, and Cathedral; shopping...and let me surprise you!

Meeting Point
In front of Atocha train station or at your lodge if central
- We will find a meeting point at a bar in front of the train station by Atocha Square around 1 hour before the train departs. But if you prefer, I can go to your hotel or flat, provided it is more or less in the centre.
Leave Madrid to Toledo by the High Speed Train
These trains are very comfortable; fixed seats are provided after purchasing online tickets. I'll do it for you, or if you are good at it online, you may do it yourself. We will need the full name and any ID or passport number information for all the passengers, including me.
Reaching Toledo at such a beautiful station, the oldest Spanish one
From there, even the station is within walking distance of the city, I prefer to do it this way up and save energy by taking a good-price taxi (around 6€), and back, as down (Toledo is 600metres over the sea) will be a nice walk around the river.
Discovering from Plaza de Zocodover, the main buildings of the 30 they got World Heritage
We will walk around the best of Toledo: the Alcazar, the Jewish Quarter, Synagogue and, of course, the Cathedral, which you may visit inside for around 1 hour for a ticket cost of 15€, with an audioguide included; the best of the cathedral, the Transparent, can be seen from the outside, and a small chapel is allowed to be entered without a ticket.
To be said: the best of Toledo are its old streets...
Lunch in the most authentic restaurant
I knew this family house 15 years ago; they lived there (the parents passed away during this period), and the food is traditional to the area: birds...and some others. Even, if you are vegan may just let me know as in Spain, everywhere is always something you will enjoy too
Walking down by the river to the station
Down the city, we will benefit from purchasing a few traditional, well-known pieces of jewelry and some sweets, their speciality: marzipan. Azafran may be found too
The best photos before leaving
Back to the station, we will pass through the Wall and may get the best photos outside the old city.
Train to Madrid
And in 30 minutes, we will be back in Madrid, thinking that we had a dream, but realizing it wasn't, as we got photos to prove that our trip was real.

Tour Important Information
This tour involves 4/5 hours of walking on an old Roman path style, with stones, and a few up and down hills; still, I did it once with a lady and her mother, who was 85 years old, and we did it as Toledo has a kind of small train surrounding the main spots (for children or adults), plus they got taxis...just let me know your concern.

I always make time to help you enjoy the best of Madrid in just 3 hours of walking, and even as much as better. If you want to enjoy this Roman city and its aqueduct, visit its castle, shaped like a Walt Disney fairy tale, and enjoy delicious food such as suckling pig, just let me know; I know all the best spots there. I'm used to this trip, mainly heading from Madrid on a high-speed train, affordable and in just 30 minutes.

“Paloma is a STAR! A true Spanish Gem”
We found Paloma last minute, she was flexible, greeted us with small bag of Spanish chocolate and we were immediately on our way to tour the beautiful city. She always checked in to ensure our questions were answered and to see if we wanted to in any other direction. “With a friend”
Having Paloma as a tour guide in Madrid felt less like taking a formal tour and more like having a local friend show me around her beautiful city. She is extremely knowledgeable, but what made the tour stand out as one of the best I have ever had anywhere was her company, conversation, and genuine care. Paloma was thoughtful, considerate, and very willing to shape the experience around my particular interests and pace. If I wanted to linger longer at a location, she never made me feel rushed or as though we needed to hurry on to the next stop. In my experience, that is rare among tour guides. I understand the desire to show visitors everything, but I would much rather discover the places that truly interest me and spend time with them than simply tick boxes on a schedule. By the end of the tour, I felt as though I had been catching up with an old friend while exploring a new city. I never felt rushed toward or through the most Instagram-worthy sites, though I suspect that if that is what someone wanted, Paloma would be just as happy to tailor the tour that way. For me, the experience was personal, warm, flexible, and genuinely memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend her, most especially for people travelling alone.

“Great Walking Tour ”
We had a very nice private walking tour through the center of Madrid. Paloma, is a very nice and kind guide. Before the tour she made shure, that we got to see, what we really wanted and was very flexible and totally open to adjust the tour to your need, spontanously. She has a lot of historical background knowledge so, a walk with her is a great benefit and you get to learn a lot. She is a very nice and gentle person, therfore it was nice spending time together and having a nice and long walk through Madrid. Also, she takes great fotos!
